Don't believe it if you get one of these. I don't even have the e-mail this came to linked to PayPal.

Major scam to get your info!!!

Message:

Dear PayPal Online,

We regret to inform you, that we had to lock your PayPal Online Access
because we have reasons to believe that your account may have been compromised by outside
parties. In order to protect your sensitive information, we temporaly suspended your account.

To reactivate your account, click on the link below and confirm your identity by completing the
secure form what will appear.

https://www.paypal-security.us (http:///icons/%20/clmv/index.php) (this won't work as I removed most of the address)

We have seen unusual attempts for logging in regarding your personal account, therefore this
confirmation regarding your account its only for security reasons.

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

I get those all the time. :rolleyes:

Always check the link on these types of emails, and when in doubt, go directly to the referenced website (not via the link) and check it out yourself.

Whenever you get these, forward them to:

spoof@paypal.com

They actually SEEM to give a sh1t!

I usually respond to these emails with:

"Hi Sweetie, Shaggy said to tell you that he misses you."

I've sent several to SPOOF, too. Just so you know, PayPal ALWAYS uses your full registered name, not "PayPal Member", or, "Member". I received 5 scam e-mails like the one posted. :rant:

I haven't seen that one. The scary ones are the Paypal receipts that say $400 has been paid to so-and-so. It looks authentic.

Always open a new window and go to ebay.com or paypal.com. And yeah, the spoof email does work.
