Were you paste waxing???No. I was told there isn't any reason to wax a finished floor. I just scrub the heck out of it on occassion. Mostly lite dusting and stuff.
What is paste waxing? I've never had hardwood floors before.

Try Murphys Oil Soap on the hardwood floor, that's what my maid uses and the hardwood looks great.

Try Murphys Oil Soap on the hardwood floor, that's what my maid uses and the hardwood looks great.Murphy's oil soap is great for cleaning once in a while, but I understand it will remove the finish after prolonged use. I did use it yesterday, but I need to polish with something. I let the kids ride their little plastic fire engine on it, and now I have little tracks I need to polish up. The fire engine finally broke.:perfect10s:

Ask your "maid" would you? first you should tell her what you called her, then let me know what she said.:twak: ;) :D

After 6+ years, finish is fine using Murphy's oil soap per directions. People that refinished the floors in 1999 recommended it.

OMG, to think I used the work maid :), need to be more PC!
