Pelosi had asked for access to a C-32 plane, a military version of the Boeing 757-200.Hastert, an Illinois Republican, flew in a small commuter-sized jet. Pelosi and her aides say that because her congressional district is in California, her security would require a larger plane that can fly coast to coast without refueling.Navy Cmdr. No it's not. She wants a larger plane so she can fly non-stop from DC to CA. The problem is with the extra seats and who's going to sit in them. What a perk for fundraising.FWIW, she's been turned down by the military up to this point. I suppose before she bid for the job this never crossed her mind. What crap She'll burn more fuel every weekend than all the taxi cabs in New York. And talk about pollution --there ain't no cat. converters on a jet spewing that shxt in the upper atmosphere where it does most damage. Only government gets bigger and taxes go up and paychecks shrink. At Reagan airport in DC, all those who hold office have a speacial place to park for free. So why can't she at least do that and fly normally.
