FORT COLLINS ? Police have arrested a 43-year-old man they say has been stealing women's undergarments out of laundry rooms in apartment complexes in the Campus West area.

Fort Collins Police arrested Chih Hsien Wu for the thefts of more than 1,300 women's undergarments between September 23 and May 18.

The thefts total more than $6,000. The number of items stolen averages to more than five a day.

Police say Wu lives in Fort Collins.

He was arrested without incident at his home in the 1000 block of Wabash Street.

Police are offering the opportunity for victims of the thefts to come and identify which garments are theirs on May 25 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The thefts from the laundry rooms in the Campus West area include panties, sports bras, stretch pants, and pantyhose.
