Hi,All! A few questions I kind of need help with .

Well I'm finally getting around to modding my 05 "Adventure series" (w/air ride) SUT for better off-road action. :dancingbanana:

I have been looking at various lift kits ie.. the normal ones Fabtech / Rancho .etc.

After reading the descriptions of both of these lifts I realized they use the stock rear air bags with a spacer. Wont this leave the articulation exactly the same as stock? Seams kind of lame to spend close to 3k for a lift just to add slightly larger tires with no articulation increase.

If this is the case. Has anyone figured out a better way to do the lift for added articulation, like maybe after market longer air bags or even better, coil over air bags that fit and lift? Or a better lift than the two mentioned that has added articulation factored in.

I know the lift kits say to use 5" back space rims. I'm wondering if I will be able to use my stock rims as temps till I find the rim / tire combo I like?

Looking for rims I keep running into the question "what is the wheel stud pattern or measurement". Anyone have this info or know how to get it?

Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

For articulation:

Some would say Sway bar disconnects, tho I dunno if they are ready made for the 2 yet. You could certainly fab something if you were inclined.

Some would say it's all in the shocks. I know that the adjustable Rancho RS9000X have worked well for some.

The lift definitely gives more clearance and the avail for larger tires in any case.

Do a search for lifts on the site as well. There are many detailed threads.

you cannot use stock rims with eiter lift, although the stock rims can be used w/the superlift 6in. kit which i have on my rig along w/several other mods. i run 37in bfg ats w/no rub anywhere at all ever.

Hi,All.
Thanks for your replies. I am looking into the skyjacker now. Thats Old School name so they might have what I'm looking for.

If not if anyone with knowhow on lifting mods please chime in :) even any idea's about coil over spring options or links to that such type generic industrial item would be a big help at this point. Any picks close up of any H2 lifts would be cool if anyone could swing it. I am getting together a more detailed list of the mods I'm thinking about. With links and everything :P . For opinions and help deciding on parts basically. Is a pretty big list. :dancingbanana: I will hopefully be talking pics of the installs I end up getting.

(edit-had to make h=H in H2 :P)

Hey Boozmaster, do you have the coil spring or air ride? I checked out the skyjacker lift and it says the same thing as the rest, cant use the stock rims with the air lift, coil spring only. :( . Maybe I can relocate the air ride control to the inside of the frame? I'm not sure yet haven't checked it out other than a minor glance.
