One month ago I was in the only Chevy dealer near my home ,
I spent some time looking at new cars and long story short I decided to get a Corvette , Test drive went fine and there was nothing bothering about the Corvette , so I got a new coupe Corvette LT3.
Then I was away for few days until I got the chance to drive the new car.
Unbelievably after driving the car for 5 to 10 minutes , I started to have a strong headache.
I thought to myself that , I might be tired , and again the next day , same thing happened.
I tried many times , and each time I get a terrible headache in less than 15 minutes.
It is strange that I did not have a problem during the test drive , but that was a demo car .
I have never had such a problem with any of my cars , and no matter how long I drive my H3 , I feel fine , I don?t think it has anything to do with Corvette s low ride , because
I still drive other low ride cars and I feel pretty comfortable in them (nothing better than Hummer ofcourse), and It is not the new material smell , because that has never bothered me in the past. My question is that has anyone ever had a problem like mine.???? I would truly appreciate , your feed back. thanks in advance.

I think it has something to do with comfort, head support, position, etc. I had that happen in my H3 semi-regularly, but not as severe as you. I always thought it was because I bottled up my road rage and just used the truck for intimidation instead of beating people up at red lights. But after getting my H2, there has been no problems... so that's why I guess it's a comfort thing.

You are probably right , the seat gives me no space to move , and the car does stink , so I will just take the top off and leave the car in the garage for few weeks for the smell to go away , but nothing can be done for the seats , apparently these are the best kind they`ve got , and you are right , H2 s are spacious and comfortable .
once again thank you for trying to help me , this forum has wonderful members.

I guess I could see that happening in an H3 due to being so "confined". You could write "Jeep" on those things....and no one would know the difference.:D

Maybe it's the windshield. Are thier any "waves" in the glass or blurred spots towards the bottom of the windshield. I had an H2 like that and our 07 Tahoe just had the windshield replaced becasue of this.
Headaches gone after that!!!!

When i first purchased my 93 corvette i was getting headaches and i narrowed it down to the angle of the windshield and some deformities it had in the factory glass. I had the dealer replace the windshield and i was still getting headaches but not as bad as before. After a while i got used to it and the headaches went away.

Stinking plastic, resin and who knows what else, especially on hot days.

Just wanted to post the update,
I had the windshield looked at by 2 different dealers , they both said its fine and no abnormalities .
I guess the vette is going to be sitting in the garage for sometime.
However I appreciate and thank those who tried to help.

try adjusting your seat angle and see if that makes a difference. Also it could be that you are sitting lower to the ground and everything seems to be moving faster.

I didn't see this mentioned so I'll ask. Did the dealers check the exhaust for leaks? Could be carbon Monoxide poisoning. They should also have test for CO2 while the car is being driven.
Thanks that was a very valid point.
I took it once again to the dealer and they checked it out once more.
They could not find any thing out of ordinary . Then I talked to someone
I know who works for Chrysler. He gave me the best answer.
He told me that certain parts of the car or most likely the car itself
might have been sitting somewhere that they might have used pest killers.
he said odorless pest killers are used in some lots to keep pests away from new cars.
He recommended under wash couple of times and told me to let car sit in the driveway out of the garage for few days before I drive it again.
That was done and now the car is sitting in the driveway as prescribed.
thanks again to all of those wonderful friends in this forum.
