I have Garmin Nuvi 660 mounted on the overhead console and hard wired. I will take some pictures and post tonight.

Sorry for the pic quality. Basically, it is mounted via modified vent mount to the top on the short(sunroof) overhead console and hard wired.

nice!

i like the fact that its hard-wired...

do you find it annoying to have to look up at it? closer to eye level would be good but i dont see where that would be...

i just got a Tom-Tom unit similar to that, so I can see how it'll look...

thanks for replying!

No problem. I'm sure you will find a kit for hard wiring in ebay or somewhere. It is really easy and when you sit, it is not much higher than your eye level. Nuvi 660 has the bluetooth, so I hooked up the microphone on the visor, so I can receive and make calls on the Nav system.

I've had a couple of Magellan?s and a couple of Garmin's. I love my Nuvi 680. For mounting solutions, I suggest looking here:

I considered the same location as 410225 used, but didn't want to reach up to operate. Also didn't think that the direct sun through the roof would do much for legibility. I used part of a mount from the company above and attached using am exixting allen bolton the dash. I'll try to snap some pix for you tomorrow.

Tom Tom Sux. I just got the One XL and have been using it for a few weeks. when you first turn it on, sometimes it takes a few minuted before it even finds a sat.

I was going from Annapolis MD to DC for a Nationals game the other night and the stupid thing didn't have RFK Stadium as a POI!

I'll, uh sell ya mine though....:giggling:

I may put it on ebay and either get a garmin or a Pioneer Avic-Z2...

I have the Apline NAV wired to a SAVV Rearview Mirror. You can hardwire any NAV to the SAVV as far as I know.
The SAVV also has a built in speaker for the NAV's sound.

I assume you mean any nav that has an audio/video output. I still need to post pix!

Tinted windshield?

yessir!

biggest pain is finding a mechanic that wont stick the inspection sticker right on! ( as they are required by law)

Not a very good picture but heres my 376C.
There are no factory NAV discs available for Mexico, so I use this.

So here are my crappy (cell phone camera) pix. If better ones would be helpful, let me know.BTW, how do I post photos so that they appear on the page as photos instead of links?
