Moose gas:

"Researchers in Norway claim a grown moose can produce 2,100 kilos of methane a year, equivalent to the amount of CO2 caused by an 8,077-mile car trip, der Spiegel reported.

Norway?s national animal releases methane through burping and flatulence, as do cows, considered more harmful to the environment than carbon dioxide.

There are estimated to be more than 100,000 moose in Norway."

I also have it from good sources that one particular member of this forum releases enough methane through burping and flatulence every month to equal the negative effects of driving an H2 for 257,000 miles.

I also have it from good sources that one particular member of this forum releases enough methane through burping and flatulence every month to equal the negative effects of driving an H3 for 257,000 miles.

Well that was obvious. I hear he produces it's own gravitah.

Does this mean that environmentalists will call for the killing of moose?

If they don't, they are hypocritical.

Maybe we should just nuke Norway. Would anyone notice?

We should solve this problem the same way we are combating methane produced by cattle....by eating them
Besides if moose is anything like deer or elk meat it should be delicious

Probably only the mooses and a few Viking sentimentalists.

Is it Mooses or Meese?

I was wondering the same thing. In case you think it's relevant, this guy looks kind of like a Moose: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_Meese

I'm not concerned about any of this.

Perhaps those goggles are protecting you from the methane effects.
