So I wanted to see and drive the H3 and see if I liked it well enough to buy one for my daughter when she gets her license in 6 months. Well I really liked it! Then I saw a black SUT. I drove it and the difference between my 03 h2 and the 05 SUT was remarkable. Much more pick up and more comfortable and quiet. They quoted me 23,000$ difference on the SUT lux with nav and sunroof, and 1400$ difference on the h3 lux with sunroof. Mine is lux with air susp., sunroof brush guards and 53,000 miles. Thoughts?

Sounds like to me you're getting robbed.
15K / yr. depreciation? Man that hurts.
I'd like to move up to a H1 but hate the interior colors.
An H3 is quite a 1st vehicle, but i guess those with the means means well.
Go for it.

With the Employee Pricing program going on right now for everyone I would think you could do better than that. Don't know for sure though.

With 5K to 6K off sticker price available to anyone on the SUt's, your not getting waht you should... unless you truck has high miles and is barely running.

I agree. My truck is in excellent condition and has 54,000 miles. Discounts are supposed to be in the 7,000 range for an 05 SUT. Their offer sure does not motivate me to get rid of mine.

My dealer who I am buying my H3 from says he can lease me a SUT for around 550 per month, tax, title, etc down. Know nothing else right now. Will go by to see them tomorrow. Is that a good rate?

What package level are you looking at? I haven't gone to talk to my dealer yet but am thinking with some work you could get that down some. Don't know though, been a while since I lease anything.

Will let you know the details after I visit them tomorrow. My simple mathis the following: If I buy the H3 and keep it 3 years, it will probably be worth 50% of what I paid for it. If I pay 34,000, then it will cost me $17,000. $550 per month, is $19,800 over three years......hmmm

dude...you can lease an H2 for ~$600 a month for 3 years 12k miles w/ little to no money out of pocket...if you pay that for an H3...I have a bridge in NY that I can let go of for an unbelieveable offer.
seriously...send your daughter to my house and I'll make sure to make her an offer she can't refuse http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ( sorry had to... )
