Hey everyone, I am thinking its time to change the rear differential to help out with the 40 inch tires. Please tell me what ratio I will need and where I can buy it.. Also How much a shop would charge me to change it.....

Thanks

Albie

I'd go the 4.88 or higher route. You've got some monsters under there.

BTW, I'll bring some shears for you to cut out plastic fender well pieces on the trais. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I just had a CST 6" Lift and put weld 20x10 Dunes with 40x15.50x20 Toyos. I re Geared it with 488's. Its not as powerful as I would have liked, but I wanted to be able to go to 38's and not be to low of geared. I plan on doing exhuast, and maybe a sts turbo setup.

He can't go to 4.88 if only 4.56 is offered in front. Also, you have to change front and rear to the same ratio or it will get bound and fukked when you go into 4 locked. Right? Maybe I missed something here.
