Hey guys, there is something wrong with my Hummer. My girlfriend asked me what kind of gas mileage I get, and after reading the manual and figuring out how, I checked. I'm only getting 11 miles per galloon!!!! There has to be something wrong. Do any of you smart guys know what is wrong by that? Sometimes when I accelerate I get a weird noise. maybe it is related. Any help would be great. Thanks http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

LOL, the Mac solution! I'd forgotten about that one.
Dennis, remember Hummerman's girl that he pretended to be? Next thing you know, "Anna" will be asking about using simple green to clean the truck... LOL

Like Dennis said, you can expect 10 to 13 mpg. What kind of weird sound are you hearing?

The weird sound is the engine. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Too much muscle under the hood. Did you get a mod done? A Corsa upgrade???

That H2 Girl is using the same picture I use. So basically you guys are saying that the H2 just gets 11 and that is it? What does that do to the environment? That can't be good for the Ozone layer.

it's kind of an odd clunking noise.

Okay, first, are you kidding about the ozone? It IS a HUMMER. Second, "clunking" can never be good. Get that looked at.

No, I'm serious about the Ozone. I don't want skin cancer, do you? Is there another Hummer with better gas mileage?

The Ozone hype is overrated. Everything goes though cycles. Just like global warming. It is proven that the Earth will warm and then cool. That is why the Earth has had Ice Ages. The Ozone will replenish also. We just might be able to speed the different cycles up and down. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif The Earth will take care of itself one way or another.

You guys are cute. When I sold my ex-husband's H1, the sales guy said I would like the H2 better, and it was more practical. He never said anything about gas though, and it didn't say anything on the sticker.

Not to sound harsh, but if the gas milage was an issue and you didn't know what milage the H2 got, you should have asked.

Maybe you should be examined for skin cancer http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

A good general rule is that the heavier a car, the worse gas milage.
Don't ever assume anything either. If you aren't sure, you are better off asking.

dude, I'm always on the forum. i have no life... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Well at least during the day I'm on all the time. Unemployed, you see
Honey, I think you better have it checked. I get average 19.3 miles per gallon. It does help if you can try to go downhill most of the time. If you want better MPG, you may talk to your dealer, they have a Hummer H2 but with a 2.0 engine, the MPG is much better. You get best of both worlds, big Hummer and high miles per gallon.
Sorry to hear about your noise, there could be 2 possibilities, one of the main cause could be the engine as mentioned previously, the solution is the radio or CD player. The 2nd possible source of the noise is usually the radio or CD player, this is much easier to solve. What you need to do is to push that round button on the radio, the one on top in the center console, that usually turns off the radio.
We can't do much about the ozone. That is purely caused by the ever increasing usage of cell phones in the world. The National Hummer Club and the Sierra Club will be presenting a new program to ban cell phone usage nationwide. We are doing our part to save the earth, 20% of the Hummer sales goes to the Sierra Club Hates Cell campaign.

Argo,
Dude, you've gotta stop drinking. You're blacking out and your effeminate side is taking control during the blackouts.
You better be careful or when "she" has her period you're gonna wake up with a tampon jammed up your can.

It would be a good idea to throw in a reply or two. Sorta like openly complaining that 'someone' stunk-up the room when it was you who cut it.....just fyi. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
