That looks great Mac! Is this your H2? What kind of NAV is that?
I love the flush screen look

That is a pic of the SUT concept. The nav shown is just a proposed look and is one of a kind - unfortunately.

Dan is right. He has a SUT on order longer than anyone I know of.
I got Dan...
Had mine on order since October of last year...
Hey Michael! Are you still in for the SUT??

I just bought an Avalanche, but I still might get it. Haven't decided yet.
I am going to keep my spot at my dealership (1st), and decide when it gets a little closer.

Well, Dennis has posted recently in other threads, so I take it the NAV install went sour and he doesn't want to discuss it...

Hmm, that would be too bad. Seemed like a good idea!

Klaus, Dan,
I've been holding of on a reply since I feel like a horses ass. My 2004 NAV system came about 3 weeks ago. It will fit nicely, but the fargin service guy now tells me they need the 2004 wiring harness and a wiring mod. I really hope I don't end up getting stuck with this if it doesn't work( paid $2460.00CAN).
Their audio specialists tells me it will work but now I must shut my yap until I see it running.
Sorry for the ignored reply...feel like an ass. Hopefully not for long.

Thanks for the update Dennis. I was afraid this upgrade would be difficult. Things should get better in the next few weeks, as the 2004s get to the dealerships. Once your dealer gets their hands on a 2004 with factory NAV, they can see what has changed and what is needed to upgrade a 2003 model.

I still say your best bet is going to be the 2003 Cadillac Nav system...

Your best bet is waiting for the 2004 H2 with the Nav and getting one from GM to install

Drtyfn,
Since the 2004s are almost here, I'm waiting to see what the factory NAV system looks like. If it looks like it will work in a 2003, that is the system I am shooting for.
You might want to wait as well...

Klaus,
Actually I am waiting for the '04 Nav system. My radio is acting up again and I've been working on getting an upgrade for my inconvenience.
Klaus

Well, I called Delphi and asked them about retrofitting their Integrated Navigation Radio (INR) to a 2003 H2. This is the unit:
http://www.delphi.com/pdf/d/int_nav_radio.pdf
Anyway... Bad news. I was told over the phone that this unit cannot be purchased separately, and that GM does not plan to retrofit this unit.
So unless the dealer is willing to try this on his own (GM won't help) I guess we are S.O.L.
Too bad - GM could sell a bunch of them...

Klaus,
I'll sell you mine. Couldn't wait for info that would never arrive.
Goin with a set up like White Beast.
Sorry about the Bull **** I fed you...They(dealership) fed it to me. And at the time, it tasted good.
Visa is still looking into reversing my charges but I might be holding the bag on this one.

Dennis,
I appreciate the offer... But since Dephi's attitude is "No, we are not interested" I can't see how I'd get the info I'd need to make it work. What a shame... I wish we could talk to an engineer instead of customer no-service.
Good luck on getting your money back. GM, Delphi, and the dealership should be ashamed of themselves on this one...

All,
The Delphi unit shown in the PDF is the exact same one that is currently found in the '03 Caddy Escalade.
The Caddy has the capability for a separate 6-cd changer and also includes XM radio as an option on the unit.
Guess we'll have to see if Hummer includes all of these features on the '04s or screws the pooch once again...
