I have a 2005 H2 and recently I noticed a significant water leak at my right front wheel well when the AC is on. I called the dealership and was told that this was normal caused by condensation. I had 2 Yukons and a Cherokee and I haven't seen this before. Pls. advise. Thanks...

I have no idea if what they told you is correct or not but where are you located? Did it just start getting hot and humid when you noticed the leak? Is so, they could be telling you the truth.

h2o- Thats normal , for the condensation to drip out under the car.

It's perfectly normal, thats why ALL manufacture put a drain tube in the evaporator housing.

Almost all domestic American cars have their A/C system (not including the compressor) on the passenger side of the firewall, with the heater core on the other side of the firewall (inside, behind the dash). There is usually a small hole in the firewall, or a drain hose coming from there that allows the condensation created by the air conditioning system to drain. It's perfectly normal. You will notice that as it gets hotter, and as you turn the AC colder (working it harder), it will drain more and more because it will be condensating more from the increased heat.

I have seen those drain holes/hoses get clogged with leaves or other debris and then they fill up and leak inside the car or cause mist to blow out of the vents.

Now let's see if your little realestate buddy says I'm wrong. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I wish I had a real estate buddy. I could sure use one sometimes. Unfortunately, its usually the other side of the transaction that gets the buddy. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
