What are the major differences between a 2003 hummer and a 2005 Iam thinking of purchasing a hummer and I am wondering if its worth it buying new. Granted i get a suppliers discount for new veh
But iam not sure if i can get it equipped the way i want it. So was there any type of "upgrades" done in the 05 model year that wasnt in the 03 Any info on this is greatly appreciated.

Another minor difference -- rear turn signal lights changed from yellow to red from '04 to '05.

The 03 had some issues with the front dif and the tranny. Nobody wants to tell you about the fixes in 04 and 05 but if you want to avoid some of the gremlins go 05. o3's are very cheap resale now so just make sure all the recalls were done if you go that way.

Does anyone have a list of recalls for the '03 model?
Do you have to request that the recalls be done -- or does the dealership have an obligation to fix the recall items when it is in the shop for other repairs? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

You can go to http://www.safercar.gov/ to check on recall and or pending investigations for recalls and or ask your dealer http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif all of these recalls may and may not affect all the 2003 H2's; they are based on VIN number. I have a late production 2003 (no recalls for mine so far), I have had only one problem (the ignition switch needed to be replaced) http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif other than that I have some minor issues, one front shoock absorber replaced and both DL lamps replaced due to clouding on the reflector http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif beside that I'm pretty happy with my '03 now close to 30k miles.

Any Hummer Dealer can run the vin and see if all repairs were done.

Yep, but when you don't live near a dealer... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Some things are best taken care of from home...
