i am looking for a aux input on my 04 non touch navigation head unit without xm.. would this be the correct part? pac - AAI-GM24 ?

depending how big you wanna go... JL AUDIO CLEAN SWEEP... great for aftermarket amps and speakers w/ stock headunit

Zeroes, you could also look at Peripheral and Soundgate as they both have excellent aux input adaptors. The JL audio piece that DH22G suggested is a very nice piece--but also kinda pricey for a non audiophile setup. If that is more than you are looking for, you could get the Peripheral GMAA that also works well to add amps to databus 2 controlled systems.
