Black chrome

I have some accessoried I am wanting to have black chromed. Does anybody have any references they can give me ? I need it to be very durable and quality most importantly. I do not need any of this "for shows only". That is all I have been running to, when I do find a place. Thanks for your help.

i've read that black chrome is not as durable as normal chrome..softer finish and more apt to scratch............soft
