The deed has been done...I no longer own Kong. After 77K miles, more gas than I want to remember and so much fun it was unreal, I decided it was time. Between my building/flipping and remodeling addition to my regular finance/real estate sales biz, I need a pick up truck and wanted to lower the monthly outflow of cash for now. Look for my triumphant return with a new 08, if it is as good as the hype is have me believe. If not, then I will search out a cheap used one and build the drivetrain my way. Until then, happy wheeling.

FWIW, it took 3 days for the sickness in the pit of my stomach to subside...I luved that truck

I'll be getting a new 2008 ride for my 2005 show H2.

Going to do some modest custom work like subs and amps. Maybe some custom stitching in the headrests and headliner. Will do real suttle stuff so it will still look show not much bling if any. It will have 20" rims in front and 21" in rear. I will get a trailer for it so i can tow it with my show 05 H2 Mall Queen so the 2008 Challenger will ride on the trailer to shows to hold down miles. It will be the big bad boy Hemi, 6 speed and the big discount I worked with dealer to promote him around the state when I take the Mall Queen to the shows towing the 08 Challenger since we drive to shows in state anyway. I get to kill 2 birds with one trip by showing 08 Challenger sponsored by? and 05 H2. Freak everyone out with the 2008 Hemi Challenger as there will be very few sold in my small state so it will be more rare than a really really customized 2005 H2. So the Mall Queen will have a really bad little brother to share garage with and tag along behind to be in shows.


Man I can hardly wait. Dealer has got friends up high and is working on getting Us the first 08 Challenger in our state. We will have a show board and he is talking to other business's to see who would like to put cash in to cover some more cost of the car for Me since dealer is selling it at what it costs him including hold back money then I can have a show board made with them all on it or do powerpoint on laptop. Since he is a small dealer it will get him coverage around the state that he could not otherwise afford.

Well could not help doing it since I was going to buy it anyway and he knows about the state shows and the bigger shows we will go to so He thought it would be a good thing for Him. I could hardly keep from biting my lip off as i had just mentioned it as a joke a month or so ago but, I will work hard for him if he does get me the baddest of the models. Well anyway I hope they keep it true to the concept it would be the closest yet back to the muscle car era looking car and I'm not a Mopar guy. I ran a 68 Mustang 289 high perf. tunnel ram with twin 700 Holley double pumpers. It was ported, polished, and blueprinted so it is a stretch to go Mopar for me but, it looks to be the closest to the true look of a reborn muscle car.
