Al's awesome paint job. Now I'm not much of a flame fan, but this paint job is soooo friggin' cool. Watching this H2 go blowing across the dunes is really fun!!

Getting ready to hit the bowl face. We're about 300 yards away from the bowl.

There is my personal water buffalo hole. I did my best to empty that little lake all by myself. I did a pretty good job, too. Over the period of about 4 hours I think I dropped the level of water about 1 1/2 feet.

Rick and Al can have fun with just about anything. We tried to find a Mini Cooper, but no luck.

My favorite tactic was to wallow around through the 2ft+ deep water, picking up as much water as the Beast would carry, and then race up the bowl and carve hard and head back down dousing the path behind me.

End of the day. Airing back up, taking the flags off and shaking out some of the sand.

I wish I could figure out how to post some analog video. I've got a lot of footage of my water escapades. Does water up to the windshield sound good? Just briefly- don't get excited. No sinkings this time.

What a fantastic paint job on the yellow/orange H2 - Is this the type of work he does? Did he design it - Beautiful

Sorry for the second post - What size tires are on each vehicle? Are they 37 and did they rub alot - what is the air preassure on the road versus off?
Thanks
Is Sand Lake in Southern Oregon? I can get up there in about 5 hours, so might have to put that one on my list.

Great pics!! Looks like you guys had a blast! I'm jealous. No dune running around here, the only dunes here are closed because they are shorebird nesting areas. BIG fine if you get caught out there.
I really like the paint job on that H2, it's a work of art. I'd like to see a paint job like that on a '55 Chevy, it'd look even better. I still like your truck the best, those black wheels are the shiznit. You gotta hurry up and get that grille painted to match though!

Great pics and thanks for posting. Now about those dunes....In one of the pics the dune looks pretty steep...was the sand too loose and the incline to steep for the H2? The last time I was in the dunes and tried a steep incline, the H2 just lost all power and I ended up backing down. I was running the same MT/R's as you, but a little more air.

Wow. I am usually not a fan of anything but solid colors, but that custom painted Hummer is NICE! The tinted front windows help a lot, too, but it's illegal to have any tint where I live.

Al's shop is incredible!!! Tha last time I was out there they had a recuperating Z06. Before the accident it had been black, but they had painted it a pearlescent deeeeeep blue that looked black until it was in the sunlight. I started to imagine a new Kawi ZX9 painted the same way with some faint ghost flames. I've been thinking of having some very faint phantom tiger stripes put on my H2. Maybe something in a faint gold or silver that can only be seen from the rear 1/4 view. If I do, it'll definitely be done at Performance Paint. Their attention to detail is top-notch. I'll try to get some more detailed pics of just Al's rig posted in the near future. Pics don't really convey the sense of depth and movement that the paint job has.

Hey, DRTYFN it looks like you buddy Ricks rig will out wheel yours? Do you ever take yours off road. The black wheels look pretty but are they used to just drive to the supermarket? HAHAHA

HAHAHA. I've been meaning to ask you what the MUDME plate really means. It doesn't have anything to do with certain german videos does it? or maybe a certain fetish that you might enjoy?
