You must have ate his cousin at Thanksgiving and this was his revenge.
I've hit lots of birds, but never a great big one! Ouch!
Why did you have to have it towed?
Does PETA know you steered toward that bird?

I tell ya that WAS one big bird. The wife thought it was gonna come on through. Don't know what they would taste like though. I have seen what their diet consists of and I don't think I would eat one. Hell I have seen others on the side of the road before and they are the ONLY thing that another one WILL NOT eat whatsoever:jump: :jump: . I guess they even know what each other eats. Anyway new glass to be installed tomorrow afternoon. Hope it gets done with no problems. Thanks.

the tow made the wife feel better for some reason. I guess if it did push all the way in there would not have been anyone inside to get hit by it or something like that. Anyway new glass tomarrow.
Holy Crap, that was ONE BIG BIRD!!!!The average a 6' wing span!

Try to request Pilkington glass. It's super chip resistant. I've taken a few direct shots from rocks lately and there's barely a mark on the window.

I will have to find out what the glass manufacturer is then. Thanks for the tip. I have heard alot about the windshiels being a weak spot on the trucks, its a damn shame to not even have it a month and the windshield is smashed.
Thanks again.

Yeah, a weak spot. Most windshields will take a 50 lbs turkey without a scratch. :)

I think your right about windshield being weak spot. It's the flat almost perpendicular surface it presents to anything hitting it. I've got two stone chips already in less than a year and I only had one in last 20 with my other trucks. Regards The Rebel
