Looking for the best intake/exhaust set up...BUT I do not want the exhaust coming out the rear, if I can have side/rear entry behind the tire...if not than I am not going to do an exhaust! Thanks!!

Gibson has a supertruck side exit exhaust, but I don't think they make it for the H2. You can have a muffler shop make you an exhaust and put the tip anywhere you want.

Before I did install my system I discussed with my performance exhaust guy what my exit strategies would be. I told him I was going with Dynatec headers with their stainless steel catback system.

He said after the catback he could do anything I wanted as he used a custom tube bender. I had him go with true duals using
2 Super 40 Flowmaster mufflers and turn the tailpipes down up high right in front of the rear axle. He also turned the mufflers on the sides instead flat saving room and it allowed him to tack the 2 mufflers together making everything more solid. He said he had done some H2's that way and people liked it. His only reservation was I was using a louder muffler so he did not know if I would like it with tailpipe turned down so far up under the rig.

He told me to drive it for a few days and if it was not what i wanted to come back and at no charge bend more pipe to make it exit where ever I wanted. He went with 3" pipe from cats to the twin pair of flowmaster super 40's. I asked him if he could find enough room to go over axle and stop up high where the stock stopped. He had to go to 2.5" pipe from mufflers on over axle but, he hit it right where I asked. He said the smaller pipes in the rear would not restrict anything with them being so short anyway. He did put the pipes over axle and together. I loved the sound it was perfect once it got over axle.

So I would think a perf. exhaust shop should be able to exit where ever You want. Just be sure and make them understand what you want and not what they want to sell you.

WOW! Great response...I am in the NYC area so I know I can find a custom exhaust shop around to do something nice... I guess I need to figure out what I want! Thanks again...

btw, do you have any pics of your system?

I do not think we have taken pics of exhaust. You would think we would have since I went through all the trouble to take it all off and send it to Jet Hot coating. I had the system done with the chrome look from headers all the way out the tailpipe.

I have many pics on the forum if You do a search for Taz, maybe
"The Beastly Beauty" is what it got nicknamed so maybe some pics on forum. You may check just Rick and pull up some photo's.

Sorry i could not be more help than that. You could PM my Buddy Dragon as it is at the shop getting more upgrades. He may have it on the rack or put it on and take some pics to load to forum. If He can work it in I know He would be glad to. The #1 painter had vacation time coming and took a complete month to go to Australia to see his mom. This has caused Dragon to have to help more in the paint area this month. He may still have time though to get pics of exhaust. Give him a try.

For those of you in the DFW area, I have used A-1 Muffler and Welding in Fort Worth at 817-625-9745 VERY successfully. I thrashed my previous ride, a 99 Tahoe, unmercifully, and never have a problem with the custom exhaust they did for me. I ran it for 4 years without a problem. In fact, in that 4 years, it was probably the only thing that didn't break...

In my opinion, custom is the way to go.
