This is weird but as soon as I have hit the 5700 mile marker on the H2, my MPG has improved dramatically.

I noticed this past week that I am getting at 55 mph on our highway(bipass) which does not have any hills or whatnot, that I have been getting 16.6 MPG!!! I have not been changing or altering my driving habits either. On a stretch to my house where the speed limit is 45mph, I am getting a flat 17 going 45 mph.

NO JOKE. Also my around town MPG has improved as well. 13.7 MPG from 12.3.

Just wondering if my rig is finally breaking in.

I am really excited but I am sure that it will get no better than this.

Anyone else notice any changes.

Absolutely! at 4000 miles, my average MPG has drastically improved from 9.8 to 9.9 to 10 MPG now. I am also very excited about this. Has anyone experienced the same improvement?

Mine is at 4800 miles and my mpg has also increased. Now it is 16 to 17 highway and 13 in town. It makes me feel better since the price of gas has increased to $1.69 per gallon here.

Hummergirl, that's great...imagine it; at the rate your going, by the time you hit 100,000 mpg, you'll be getting almost 56 mpg!!

wow mac you must have some serious hills in your area...or your cowboy boots are too heavy....

and BTW, you are cooler than I thought if you wear cowboy boots. Reminds me of my grandfather and my uncle who were very distinguised gentlemen and always wore them.

At the rate I'm going, by 100K I will get 20MPG, or 30MPG by 200K.
Doesn't matter anymore, with the hefty depreciation write-off, my gas is now free. Diane, my gas price DROPPED to $1.69, while yours went up to $1.69.

Hummergirl, The American Hummer Council on Modern Morality has decided that you have to change your new avatar/icon. It is too distracting to happily married men here, at least put on some cloth or go all the way show us the whole thing.

I know quite a few guys wear boots with their suits. It saves a lot of brain power and money, don’t need to worry about which shoes to wear with what cloth; SJ should be happy to know boots are all American.
