I need support!
I ordered a pewter H2 in October for delivery in January. Last month they told me it was delayed until Febuary. Just 5 minutes ago, they called to tell me, "Mabye March". I'm posting this from my laptop because I just stuck my boot into my desktop.
Is it because we're Canadian??? GOD! OH! GOD!
SWEET JESUS! MARY MOST MERCIFUL!!! HELP ME!MONTH OF MARCH????? I NEED SLEEP!!!! I don't think I can wait any longer!!!!! The bags under my eyes are turning into potato sacks! This H2 thing is driving me nuts

Dennis:
No way - eh! We love our neighbours from the Great White North. I'm sure there's a production glut going on at the factory - that's all. Dealers are cranking out orders to keep with demand, but it all depends on the area.
My local dealer has no models on its lot, so locals here are faced with a waiting game according to the specific dealer they work with and the options being ordered.
Your dealer (in Vancouver?) should be able to give you a solid production date.
Do they actually have roads in Canada or is that why you want your H2?
"Let me show you my gun collection"
Dennis:
Are you dealing with Dueck. I was in Vancouver two months ago and they had one on their lot for show. Assuming this is your nearest dealer (as next closest is all the way in Alberta), so they should be able to supply you with a build date.

If you have the money to buy it(I'm sure you do) and you can take a weekend off and you are ready to buy a Hummer H2, then this is what I would do:
I would get in my car and drive to every dealer, even if that meant driving hundreds of miles until I found one like I wanted and I would buy it. Some of the members on this forum did that and I for one did.
I decided what I wanted and drove to dealers till I found it and had to argue with them a bit and threaten them with buying my H2 elsewhere, but I got my Hummer exactly what I wanted at MSRP. TOOK ONE DAY!
Hopefully you have this option and get the H2 you want. It is worth spending weekends driving around to get it. Its that GOOD. Just Ask JASON!
Good Luck!

I feel for ya Dennis. The problem is the alocation. I live in the Toronto area and there is only one Hummer dealer in Ontario. Thats where we get screwed first. My dealer told me that Canada was aloted only 400 out of the 40,000 Hummers produced. 237 was slotted for Ontario. Quebec was the second largest alotment and BC was the third.
I've had my H2 for 1 week now. It was suppost to come at the end of Feb. or the beginning of March, but it arrived on my dealers lot on Jan. 15th. I've been to the gas station 3 times and theres only 837 Kms. on it - OWCH!

Nice to know there are others that feel the bug. Congrats JohnnyBoy, Don't care about the gas just as long as the ride is an H2. One thing is good about being a Canadian, not many folks will be drivin around in those. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

At least you guys will have some uniqueness left in a year or two. We already see at least 5 or 6 every trip to the burbs and 4 or 5 up where we ski every weekend!
I think, if you compare the production numbers, we'll start to see them as often as we see Acura MDX's. Here, that's really often, and a bit depressing because part of the reason we got it was because it was unique!
You may have to wait longer initially, but keep thinking about the benefits in the long run (I'm a perennial optimist)! The wait is killer though, and I empathize.

Hey BC Bud ! I was blown away when I read your post. It is mirrored to me. I ordered mine (Pewter as well) in October and was told January delivery, then February now being told possible late March ----Mid April !!! My spider sense told me games were being played
but your post actually made me feel better.
Help please -- Remind us it's worth the wait!!

Hey Spidey,
On the bright side, there still will be only a few of us on the road here in B.C.
If I see you in the next few months on the road, if it's safe, let's shadow each other! That would be a cool sight. Let's cross our fingers! Take it easy. DennisAJC.

Dennis, I too live in BC (Vancouver area). I drive a 2003 H2 White adv/lux. And yes, H2 are rare in the Vancouver area still - people stop and stare alot and always start conversations at the malls and bars.
Dennis, do what I did. Buy it from the US and import it. It really is easy and does not cost any extra (ie duty), plus the prices are way cheaper and you have hundreds to choose from. Sure you will have to settle for a used one, though at any time in ebay and autotrader.com there are hundres of 2005 and 2006 H2. Trust me, you will save at least 25% even when comparing a used 2005 in Canada to a used 2005 in the US.
Thanks

We all hope one day Dennis will be able to get that elusive H2 and join us.
DNA, I saw a white SUV in Downtown Vancouver when we were there visiting Dennis. I even popped a pick with the ole' camera phone. Of course I deleted the pic. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif I think it had chrome rims.

dna,
Check the date of the post. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I was one of the first few guys to get the H2(I think Markus Naslund and Todd Bertuzzi were ahead of me.
You're in Vancouver? throw me a PM and we'll do coffee on Robson. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
And I agree. We're still enjoying the rarity of the H2 here.
Robson? Isn't that where I saw the white H2?

Contact Shaw GMC Hummer in Calgary, they always seem to have lots of stock and their Hummer sales specialist is great at finding what you need, he always goes the extra mile. His name is Andy Drever if I recall.
