First...

Thanks to the forum for input and education.

I have found several SUT's that meet my requirements. Now its just weighing out the options.

A few questions to the forum:

Certified 6YR/100K warranty? Worth it? A few SUT's I have found have the certfication and this looks like a $1500 premium.

Options: What additional items would be found on the SUT LUX. Trailer convenience package, air suspension, etc.

Damage: I found one that had been repaired from slight fendor damage. No major damage at all. How much less would this be worth?

I'm looking to buy this weekend.

Thanks

Get the warranty. A couple of small repairs and you are in the black on it..

Certified? So I am assuming you are looking at USED SUTs. You know they are offering the 0% nowadays and unless you are paying cash, I think you are better off with a brand spankin' new H2. The Hummer dealers need to get rid of the 07s because the redesigned (sort of) 2008 is around the corner. Also, others have suggested buying from a different State if the savings are substantial. Try SoCal :p If you are set on the used SUT, make sure you get a CARFAX report.

0% saves enough to make it worth buying new...then you get the warranty...

unless you can save at least $10000.00 on a used one (2006) than get a new 2007.and don't pay more than $500.00 over dealer invoice(cost) for a new 2007.

More info would have helped.

My short list of used is the following:

Private Seller or Hummer Dealer
All under 25K miles
2005-2006
All LUX
Options vary...Nav, Chrome, DVD Screens - but I adjust pricing for this.

Tonneau Cover - Some do not have and I add $1000.00 since I will want this.

All of them range from 36K - 44K for a SUT. Red Metallic is the cheapest color I have found...black is the most expensive.

Money Factor - 0% - Pay the interest now or the depreciation later. After the 0% was announced last week I saw about a 2K price drop.

I'm leaning towards a 16K mile SUT for $36,500 or $38,000 certified. I think certified since it is transferrable and will give me another 4 years of warranty.

I suggest you check all the above, play with options and numbers, and then decide. Those brand new ones are hard to resist though:p Ahhhhhh, the new car smell:giggling: Gotta inhale it!
