I'd love to, but I'm pretty booked up. I'm the secretary for our 38psi tire club and it's looking like I'll be heading up our Colorado chapter of the 37" vs 35" debate team.

I'm also a 38psi tire guy! Would you mind sending me some literature on your club? Thanks

As I explained in an earlier port, it all depends on how fast you drive on the highway:
Speed MPG (Highway)
--------------------
55 17-18 MPG
65 15 MPG
75 12-13 MPG

Just Purchased a 2007 H2 last week, and already have 1,200 miles on it.
My last fill up, I got 18.6 mpg.
There was a post on here a few weeks ago about how if you drive 55mph you can get a 42% increase in fuel economy and that is DEF. TRUE!
Everytime I get on the interstate I put my cruise control on @ 55mph, and when I am going down the side roads (country roads) I run around 43mph so that its in overdrive and only churning about 1,100---1,200rpms.
Before I got my 07 H2, I had a 07 Escalade ESV as a demo with the new 6.2 Liter V8, and I was able to get 24 miles per gallon with it
filling up at a Shell Station, getting on the interstate and putting my cruise control on at 55mph and running a 60 mile stretch, and returning to the same shell station to top off with fuel to get a accurate reading.
So my prediction on the 08 Hummer H2 with the 6.2 will be 22---24mpg ((if you drive 55---60mph with the cruise control on))

Another factor is...........it all depends on "where you live" because every city and state is different. If you live in a area that has alot of "hills/mountains/steep grades" its only natural your not gonna get that great of fuel economy.
Getting 18.6 mpg out of my H2 is NOT easy, and truthfully its kinda frustrating going 55mph, but considering payments are $1200 a month, and gas is $3 a gallon.....its worth going a little slower to gain the extra miles per gallon. You really have to drive it like you have a egg under your gas pedal, and truthfully if i lived in a downtown area/big city, then there is NO WAY I could drive this way. Truth is, if you drive slow in a big city, your gonna get run over. You have to dart out into traffic, and stuff....but where I live, I am on 2 lane country roads most of the time and running 43mph on those roads churning 1,100---1,200rpms it only logic your gonna get pretty good gas mileage.
As for the Escalade I had as a demo.......I was able to get 24mpg and again, thats driving like you have a egg under your gas pedal, and 100% pure interstate running 55---60mph with the cruise control on.
In the real world.......living in Atlanta.....Chicago.....New York...big cities, its NO WAY of getting those kind of numbers.
It really narrows down to where you live, and what the roads are like.
I am sure people in Mississippi get better mpg than people who live in East Tennessee. East Tennessee is full of mountains, and hills, where as Mississippii is very flat.

The area does count, i agree. The runs i did were in colorado on I 25.....slight hills, but nothing big. What i would consider the adverage highway. Thats where I got the 18mpg at 55.....
I got my supercharger on now and I have my H2 at my place in NY, so there is really no way to do it here since all the driving is around town and its WAY too much fun to get on it with that supercharger.

Average 9.3 for the first 50K miles....
If I babied it (I mean an ol' lady in a wheelchair could have passed me) I could get 11'ish.
Now with supercharger.... 7.6
Absolutely sucks. If I absolutely baby it, I may get 9's but just normal driving will yield me just below 8 mpg.
No wonder I drive my other car for running around town.

how many miles can you go on a full tank ?
Usually about 225 miles... yeah I know, it sucks.
Tim put a supercharger on his H2 and gets twice what I get. The only difference is I have 38's with 4.56 gears....
I give up. It is what it is.

Well, my H2 is in the shop and they gave me a loaner 07 H3 with 23 miles on it. The H2 w/ 37's got like 10-12 MPG no matter what I seemed to do. I have put about 320 miles on the H3 and it just needed its 2nd fill up ( I presume). So it gets about 16 MPG.
I like the little H3 but, it was tough to fit all of my gear and buddies into it for a trip out to our farm. We had to leave the dogs at home:violin: .
I like the 07 H3 better than the 06 that they loaned me before. With a roof rack, adv., Alpha, it could almost work for me....but the towing is still a bit light. I wish they made a H2.5.

Mine does a combo of 11.7 according to the car's computer. By contrast, my Z06 with 440 RWHP gets an amazing 27.5 highway!
12 but there has to be a way to tune it to 14........

Anyone try Gas savers or a velocity tuner, says it saves up to 31% on gas and adds 16% HP. Anyone care to comment?

Im trading in a 06 F150 Harley Davidson AWD with stock 22s and I was getting 11 on average and sometimes as low as 9 highest was like 13. So I figured if I was getting that kind of gas mileage why not drive a h2 and possibly get better or the same.

I took a trip last week that was 75 miles each way all highway......I reset the dash MPG display and set the cruise control at 65 mph. I got 14.7 mpg. On the way back, I reset everything again and set the cruise at 70 mph...I got 13.1 mpg. I was surprised how much of a difference 5 mph makes
I'm getting 12mph avg since I bought my Hummer.

I love it when they ask, "I didn't know Hummer made a Hybrid." I tell them 20 mph city! Don't want to over do it.

Went to pick up my boat this weekend....45 miles of twisty roads mostly 35 - 40 MPH. Pulling the trailer I got 12.3 MPG. Pulling my 6500 pound boat back home I got 8.6. Truck had absolutely no probs pulling the boat.....

well, i'm stock as stock can be... and i usually get about 12 in the city.
Now, i agree where it all depends were you live. In miami, i usually drive chill in the city and if ppl honk, i really don't care since i can usually run them over.
Now, on I-75, it's 70mph speed limit. I cannot, cannot go 55mph on the interstate unless i'm towing my enclosed featherlite. So, on the highway, i get maybe 13, 14ish if i set it to 65 or so.

Getting 12.2-12.3 with mixed driving...... that also includes a few trips to the lake pulling the Jet Ski's which only really seem to effect mileage around town, on the highway the trailer doesnt seem to make much difference.

i am getting 13.5 or so with a air rade intake, a whipple supercharger and a corsa exhaust. Of course if I open up the supercharger that goes all out the window. So if I drive decent that 13.5. I got stuck last week at the lake, by the time I got out and back to town, I had an average of 6.5.
