Was wondering if any one else's pulls a trailer with there H2. The trailer is a 26 foot snowmobile trailer and the H2 has a real hard time with it in the mountains. Power wise and it gets jerked around real bad. Any input would be appreciated.

Those wheels look awfully small on that trailer especially for how long it is.You can always buy a Ford powerstroke and you wont even know its back there.

You've got a pretty long trailer that will catch a lot of wind. Also, the center of gravity on the trailer is higher up. It looks like it is an all aluminum (frame and all) trailer, so unless you are really loading the trailer down it shouldn't be a weight issue. In windy situations, I've noticed 2 things with the type trailer you have. The front v-shaped style acts very funny in the wind and, of course, being a big enclosed trailer it catches side-wind any way.

Personally, if you going to pull a trailer, the air springs are a must because it keeps the truck level. If pulling in hilly terrain, a power programmer, tow/haul mode and leaving it in 3rd works best for me. I have pulled a little over 9500lbs with no problems. If you pull often though, like Phil said, it's not the best tow vehicle.

It does OK but you just can't compare it to a Power Stroke SuperDuty or a Duramax 2500.

I have just started towing a 30 foot camper with the H2. The trailer weighs about 6000 lbs. loaded. I've towed it about 800 miles in Florida and Georgia and have had no problems. I do have an equalizer hitch with anti sway bars. I averaged around 60 mph and got 9.8 mpg on my last trip to Georgia and experienced no sway from passing trucks at all.

The person I sled with most often has a F350 power stroke diesel. He used it last weekend to move a bunch of furniture out to his new Condo in the mountains. Said he drove 70 MPH and didn't even have a clue it was on behind him. I think for this year we will just use his truck when ever we take the 4 place trailer. The on the tires are small and the trailer is high is so the bottom of the trailer has no wheel wells this way you can load the sleds much easier. Thanks for all you insight much appreciated.

I have to check the hitch to see how much of a drop. The dealer set up the truck for me. He pulls the same trailer with his Hummer. And yes it is a Trail-lite 8307s by R-Vision. A decent trailer for the two of us. The side does slide out. The slide contains the couch and kitchen area. It gives me lots of room in the living room where I have 2 swivel rocking chairs. Dan, thanks for the Taco Bell ad on my house.

Get you a Duramax, have a Featherlite trailer like yours, full of snowmobiles and don't even know it's behinde us when I use my father's Duramax with the Allison tranny to pull it. I pull a 5,000lb boat with my Escalade and it does a decent job. So I'm kinda of cringing on what my H2 will do when it comes in. Watch how you load your trailer, if you don't have enough weight on your tongue it will jerk you around. I have a V nose on my motorcycle trailer as well and dearly love it. I think it pulls better then a flat nose so I wouldn't blame your problems on the V par of the trailer.

On a snowmobile trailer you have to have the small wheels so you can have sleds side by side, wheel wells inside just don't work.

The trailer is an American Pace out of Utah. A very nice trailer if anyone is looking to buy a good rec trailer.

26' seems a little long and perhaps heavy. I was looking at ToyBoxes of between 26 and 32 and decided they were too much. I ended up with a Haulmark 20' enclosed trailer with 5 ATV's in it plus associated stuff.

My Suburban 1500 pulls it decently but the H2 struggles. There's more length to the Suburban therefore more weight in the back (kids, dog and assorted stuff) that seems to be the difference.

I really have enjoyed driving. Makes a great in town car, lacks pep at speeds above 80mph. At 55 - 65mph does great and gets 12- 14 mpg. thinking ablut a 5:13 gear swap.

I pull a 30 foot race trailer with mine, tows well, i have 8 racing snowmachines in it, one of them has 330 hp on nitrous.
