Just bought an 08' Graystone metallic....newbie here!

Hello all! Just thought I would say hello and introduce myself. I just purchased an 08' H2 with the new 6.2L/6speed tranny and am loving every minute of it! It is graystone metallic/ebony in color and has the lux package, rear air suspension, and navigation w/backup camera. This looks like a great forum and I look forward to spending some money asap on mods....so, what do you all recommend? I would like to get rid of the spare tire n the back, maybe a little more chrome, and some wheels/tires....hmmmm, I wonder if my wife will notice:shhh:

Congrats on the new rig...i was torn between getting the slate blue which I had on my 06 H2 and the greystone....i ended up with the Slate Blue on my 08. Really like the Greystone though.

Do your guage backlights go out when the headlights come on? Mine do, taking it over to get the roof crossbars and nerf bars on it tomorrow morning, hopefully they can fix that dash problem.

No, my guage backlights do not go out! Hmmmmm...hopefully its an easy fix for your dealership. While I was waiting on mine to hit the dealers lot (was in ship status), I had the parts dept order the roof cross bars and install them before the vehicle was delivered to me. I love them and it gives the H2 a more finished look. Good luck with your 08' and I love the slate blue as well!

Oh, do you plan on going more chrome or replacing the chrome with black parts to give it a more off-road appearance??

I wasnt sure if i was missing some setting on the dash in re the backlights on the guages.

I had the bars and cross rails on my 06. I think the truck looks odd without the cross rails on the roof and its a bear getting in and out without the nerf bars on it.

I dont normally do much as far as adding things or customizing things. I just keep it stock. What about you?

Welcome! I'd love to see some pics of your truck as that is the color I would probably get.

Go for the off road look. Save the bling for caddilacs and navigators who were meant for the street.:p
