A couple of weeks ago they "blew up" an H2 on CSI Miami
you might be able to get it really cheap.
And with a little money it should be good as new.

i did not particularly like the new interiors...

while it is better quality, it just looks and feels off..

Yeah why get rid of the air vent nipples too.
Really looks like all other trucks on the inside now.

Haha. Im looking to lease one. Visited Williamson Hummer today, but I wanted some comparisions for next month when I think I may get one. Also considering a G55, but keep coming back to a H2 with 37"m/t....

Have you searched on any threads here about the 2008?
I know someone was talking about the 6 speed auto and how
they seemed to be built to better quality standards too.
Since we do not have a dealer here and we have a 2003
it would be hard to give you more advice.

I know we love ours when we traded from a Chevy Avalanche
to the H2.
Let us know what happens and if you get one.

I just came out of a 5 series and bought my first H2. I live in Pensacola (Northwest Florida) and had a quote for an 08 lease of $1169 per month for 39 months from Joe Bullard Hummer in Mobile, Alabama. According to the salesman, they only stock the H2's with almost every option. I had no choice in things I wanted. The price tag on the 08 H2 was 69K. According to the salesman, it was non negotiable on a lease. I passed on it and bought an 05' H2 with 39 thousand miles for 29K.

Well I've owned about 8 or 9 03-07 h2s and 1 08. The 08 is way better in just about every aspect. Once you go 08 you'll never go back. And for the salesman that said the price is non-negotiable run fast and swiftly. Dont buy from any car dealer who says that, ever. The only reason it would be non negotable is if you are already getting GMID supplier pricing.

Wow, that's one of the highest prices I've ever heard of! How's your credit? I have an 06 that had a sticker price of $63K with no down; my lease is for 39 months and I'm paying $639 a month, including taxes and tags.

What kind of residual did your salesman quote? I would run that H2 through various dealers on the web, there has to be a better price than that!

My credit is good. I was paying 680 per month for my 05' BMW lease which I just turned in. I would have loved to stay right around that payment. I don't actually remember the residual on the vehicle. If I remember right (this was last week) the only amount due at time of pick up would be the first months payment. I've never bought a used vehicle before. So this was my first. Seems to be in good shape overall.

Just got quoted $ 974 for SUT with added tanue cover and chrome side steps. I was very surprised that side steps are not a standard item. They were on my 05. Tanue cover is $1,000 from the dealer installed. I passed for now. My lease is up in July and I'll wait to see if any delas come around. My current lease is $780/month. I'd like to stay around that figure.

you could have my hummer for 27k and at the end of two years just burn it. because thats all you would have to show if you leased one :p

I lease mine and call it a business exspense. This way, it's a total tax write-off!

As one of the richest men in the world says, "You buy what appreciates, you lease what depreciates!"

Ed Zachary, I could be buying rental property for that lease payment. :raar:

I get torn between leaseing and buying. Niether is a good deal. If you drive alot of miles then buy. If you buy you can always sell it or trade it in. To get a resepectable monthy payment when you buy you would need a good trade in that held its value or put some money down. With a lease, no money down, better payment and 100% tax write off for business owners. I'ma car buff and always take really good care of my vehicles, cleaning, waxing, maintenance etc. Kinda sucks when you lease to give up something you really cared for.

I have to concur....the 08 is far superior than prior years. Love the new interior and love the new engine and tranny!

Well, the time is finally near. I'm about ready to purchase another vehicle and it's most likely going to be an H2 :)

Have a couple questions though. Would one normally deal on a leased car as if one were buying it? After negotiating do you then tell them you want to lease it? This will be my first lease since I am now a business owner :excited:

From the previous posts I see that the lease numbers are all over the place. Should I try to stay under a certain number to know it was a good deal?

Thanks for any information :)

Of course you negotiate! If you have 2 or 3 dealers in your area, get them to quote the same vehicle, same options, and get them fighting between themselves. When the dust settled on my deal. I took $50 a month off the lowest quote and got it!

I'll do just that. I have 2 dealers that are 20 minutes away from me so I'll have them go at it :)

Thanks!
