okay. I got the 05 H2 w/45k miles. I have tested the mirrors and they do not fold as should. Question is, will this be covered under warranty for replacement? I know dealers won't replace the older style if the issue is just a rattle.

I've got an 05 as well and had the same problem. Passanger mirror would not fold. My dealer replaced them with post-06' mirrors with questions asked and at no cost. This was done under basic factory warranty.
Hope this helps.

Had the same problem with my 05 at the time. There is a TSB out about the 05 mirrors and its standard procedure under warrenty to change the mirrors to the newer 06 and up style.

I have called Woodfield Hummer and Hummer of Naperville. They won't replace them even though they are aware of the TSB and the deffectiveness of these mirrors.
Any other dealers in IL I should try that any of you guys had good luck with?

I just checked and seems like the basic warrany is for 36k mi or 36mo. My H2 has 45k miles. I do have extended warranty from the dealer(Chevy) I have purchased, but do not cover the mirrors.
Am I screwed?

I'm not sure if the TSB is only for under warrenty vehicles.
