Anyone know if you can get the limited edition side steps to fit with out getting the border piece to have to match paint of car. Has anyone seen any limited edition come with the molding painted in solar flare to match? Do you have to have that exact molding that comes with the kit or does it fit stock rocker protection bar with out modifying the ugly gray molding?

They fit the stock bars. You don't have to change the plastic mouldings if you don't want to.

I see the sets being sold on ebay, anyone know where or how much it would cost for just the steps and no molding. Any other side steps similar, i know i could get removable u-steps, but i think the hummer limited editions ones look a lot better.

Does anyone know if the Rocker Covers and Steps that are just primed, or come in the black Match the Black trim that is stock?

So if you purchased these and did not paint them, would they match the stock trim or would do you guys think the blacks would be off and it would look stupid?

The new rocker covers compainted from what I can tell. If they are primed they are not going to be the same texture as your black fender flares. To put the steps on just loosen the top/bottombolts on your rock sliders so the slider can tip out toward you. Then install the steps. I actually just did this last week.
The only problem is it will make it a PITA for quick removal to go offroad. However I may remedy this pretty quickly next week when I extend my rock rails out about 1 1/2".

keep us posted on how that goes. any pics of yours installed? I'm curious as to how they look without the plastic rocker moldings behind them. The ones I just ordered are already primed, so I will have to texture them to get it to match.

Tim,

I donnot have any pix yet. I will get some this weekend. Right now my truck is at RubberDuck4x4. Travis is using my H2 as a jig for some new H2 products. Look for a post about all that next week!
