View Full Version : who wants money
Well its time I expressed my views ...I have been a supporter of the American way most of my Life OK over the past 8 years ,I have to say anti Americanism had set in and met a lot of resistance in my business and also with my support god even driving a Hummer I was frowned upon,
Anyway to the point there is a global crisis a majority of companies would bend over backward for business, however over the past 3 years I have fought tooth and nail with companies to supply me ,even today over the past 6 weeks I have written to dozens of companies trying to buy parts and only 10 % would deal and 50% respond ,,the 40% of who did respond said we don't post abroad why the hell not Jesus they have to go down to the USPS office anyway ,,some people believe that nobody lives outside the USA .
I would have thought in today's climate that they would love any business home or abroad in fact even Jason has not responded .
I find it all bazaar ,,in my business I don't care if someone pays me from the moon.

Same issue in the UK. I however have a dealership nearby if I really want to be robbed and fortunately some other American car specialists nearby to keep the price sane. With the prices the dealership charges here you only go there once before you wise up. (Got charged the equivalent of $1400 for a ONE new cat) :twak:

I 100% agree !!! It's extremely difficult to find some american business to sell to Belgium. Even buying a simple hat or a bumper sticker is impossible.
I've been trying to order from www.militarymagnets.com a month ago (they sold me stuff before last year) and this time : NO REPLY !!! Pisses me off ! Altough, if I fill in the complete form, Belgium is on their list.

30% isn't ****... By the time you take an order, verify the funds, order the product and get it shipped to you. Inspect the item, repackage it for international shipping, fill out all the bs paperwork on international shipping, verify its delivery, and the receivers consent on the product...thats a good amount of work.
Your only talking $300 on $1000... I bet if something is available local to them, its at 100-200% markup.

I have had the same issue with having stuff shipped and I?m working on a military base with a US MAILING ADDRESS. I have had companies tell me that they won?t ship to a APO or overseas. If they do ship it has taken 10 weeks to get it. so I can understand how you guys feel that dont have a connection to the states. Your paying out the A** for your parts over here in Europe.
