Hey All - My name is Mike & I'm new to this site and have been researching this, but I'd like to hear from anyone who has owned an H2 w/a MagnaCharger.

I picked one up a couple weeks ago and I'm going to install it soon, but all the reading about the tranny issues are a little concerning......not concering enough to turn back, but I just want to know what I'm in for. Also if you can mention what you liked and disliked about it. I'm real excited to put this on and I'm planning to do this myself. Magnasun has sent me the programmer for my specific truck, is this set up good or does it need tweeks?

My truck is a 2005 H2 SUV - all stock.

Thanks,
Mike

I have had mine on for 2 yrs. Hell of a lot more fun to drive. Tranny problems will occur but all depends on how you drive. I am pretty hard on mine and it has made it atleast 50,000 with it. That includes towing a 7x14 enclosed trailed. Never tried the stock programmer but if you don't like it, you may want to invest in tuning software or talk to Allen Nelson (www.nelsonperformance.com (http://www.nelsonperformance.com)). He did the tuning on mine, think he pulls about another 30-50 horsepower out of it. 0-60 times @ 6 lbs. are right at 6 seconds.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for thr reply, If you don't mind me asking, why didn't you use the Superchips that came with the SC?
Thanks

Tuner that comes with kit is conservative. As was mentioned there is fine tuning better than it to get more performance safely still. Allen Nelson is the best. Using HPTUNERS.com tuning software is a good choice if you are in to learning to tune. They provide the tune that is run by Superchips.

Thanks Taz! Is there any benefit to the tranny by using the tuner by Allen Nelson? I don't know if his program offers better shift points etc.?

He will take out alot of the torque management if you'd like. He can also adjust your shifts to be firm or at higher RPMs, etc. He is like the Superchips on steroids. Pay for the initial tune, then if you keep modifying, pay shipping cost and you get lifetime retunes free. Superchips can't offer that. Nelson's isn't a handheld tuner, he reflashes the whole ecm. You take yours out, put his in, then send him back yours. He can also adjust if you upgrade to the 90mm throttle body, electric fans, lower thermostat, etc. (all of which I suggest). Oh and the reason I didn't use the tuner from Maggie is becuase I heard about Nelson and knew I was going to keep modifying. Getting ready to do a cam swap, more boost and meth injection. :clapping:
