Hi All.

Just faced a (new) problem with our 2003 H2.

I took a long ride, and parked the car. There was no problem at all.

After parking 2-3 days, I was ready to drive back.

As soon as I started the car, the clima was pumping ice cold air at full speed to the cabine.

I have not bil touching the clima control panel.

I drove home, feeezing my a.. off.

Today, I have bin trying to locate the problem. It seem, that nomather if I put it on auto or defreeze window, it keep on blowing ice cold air at full speed. If setting the temperature to 32? C. (max), then it stops, and start blowing heated air. changing the passenger side temperature does not make any changes, but changing the driver side temperature just 1? C down, make it blowing ice cold air again.

My logical sence tell me, that the problem may be the room temperature sensor for the driver side.

Am I right ??

Is it a known problem ??

What is the cure ??

Where are the room temperature sensor for the driver side located ??

Thanks for any input.

This issue has been going on since 03's came out. It happened on one of mine and they replaced the entire unit in teh dash....

The climate control module may have to be re-programmed. The dealer can start there. If you are out of warranty, try disconnecting your battery for 10 minutes or so and see if it will reset on it's own.

If that reprogram doesn;t work they have to replace the CCM or fix/replace the blend door actuators...if they have to do the actuators, you're looks at a large bill as it's an all day job. Both teh actuators and the CCM's go out in tehse trucks.

good luck.

Sounds like the inside air temp sensor is bad. As soon as you bring it off max setting the temp sensor takes over climate control and when it thinks the cabin is hot it will try to cool it down, when on max heat it takes the sensor out of the picture. Sensor is located above the drivers left shoulder in the headliner
