I know this is not 100% Hummer related but I got a pic and a short video of my driveway at my house WITH my H2 so it counts :D

I got over 6ft of water inside my garage and music studio last weekend with the historic flooding we had in Nashville, TN, they say its a 500 or even 1000year flood that we went through, all I know is that it SUCKED! It got to most of my tools, and a lot of my music equipment, I did have flood insurance but it only covers "structural damage":soapbox: so all of the stuff that got wet inside is a loss, all electric tools, 80gal air compressor, drills, welder, drumkit, guitars, speakers, mics, cables, tvs, washer and dryer etc etc etc etc I dont even wanna think of how much I lost.... All gone:crying:
BUT... i didnt' get it as bad as others around here who lost everything and even some who lost their lives, 31 I believe, so i'm blessed and glad all my family lost can be replaced with time.

You might have not heard about it, but we are under state of Emergency right now:

This video was taken day 2 of the flood, it had gone down about 4 feet already in my driveway, it was a ragging river the night before, no joke.

My heart goes out to you. The same thing happened to a friend of mine here in Vegas. He had a Mustang Cobra in his garage, too. No flood insurance. Me and a bunch of his cop buddies along with our wives helped him repaint everything.

The flooding in your area is tragic and has not received the attention it deserves.

Oh dude!!!!! I AM SO SORRY!!!

I thought I read somewhere you had insurance, right? God I hope so.

Did the mustang survive?

Hope you get everything back to normal soon.

If I can do anything for you, let me know.

I didn't want to be the first to say it!

Its a good thing you have insurance, even if it doesn't cover all the toys. Looks like you'll have plenty of work to do and atleast you still have part of your house (I assume?) sounds like a lot of folks down there are homeless now. Do people down there not bother sandbagging and making dikes or did all that water just come so fast? We flood like that up here just about every spring, it never gets any easier to deal with.

it flooded to fast to sandbag. most of the hardcore flooding i saw near my house was in about an hours time.. granted it got worst as the day went on but all hell broke loose when the rivers overflowed and it happened really fast!
it was crazy!

luckly i wasnt affected by the water but a tornado came through my back yard and uprooted 10+ trees... but nothin two days of work and a chainsaw couldnt fix!:giggling:

Andres man that looks horrible but if you need anything or help just tell me.. im right down the road my brotha!

Someone tell me where the fuk is Obama offering full help for Nashville? If this was GOddamm Haiti, that motherfuker would be offering rebuilding, cash and scholorships...

That stupid son of a bitch is so quick to spend our money elsewhere, what happened to charity begins at the home?

AMEN!

I dont care if someone likes the guy or not(most of you know i don't) but not even mentioning it sets an all time low. he's just mad no one came crying out for help from the government. i'd rather do it all on my own that receive one second of help from the prick

Sorry about you place Andre, we were lucky and were far enough up the road the river stopped before it got to us. Our unfinished basement got a little water but of course no big deal compared to all the other people that lost it all.

It is incredible how you can go one street and it looks like nothing happened, and a few streets over it's like a bomb went off...sux:(

Thank you all for your kind words, it has been the craziest week ever, what once was happy home is now 2x4s, BUT that's only downstairs, luckily it didn't get to the main level where everything is.
The Roush is fine thank GOD! lol, I took it along with the other cars up the street where I knew water couldn't reach them as soon as I saw the river tip over, that was the first thing I did, then we had friends came and took each one of them before the tornados got to us, it was caos, but at least I didn't have to worry about them anymore and could focus on trying to safe what I could. Water came up so fast I was yelling "dont let go Jack!, dont ever let go!" HA
I will keep you guys posted, again, I appreciate your kind words, thanks for the compliments on the wifey:D she liked them, ha and luckly we're all safe and we'll get back up on our feet sooner than later I hope.:beerchug:

Just got back to the States. Didn't even knew anything happened, not even on the news ??? Sorry to hear about your loss and wish you and your family the best. At least when a hurricane is coming we get some notice. How do you plan for something like what happened to you?

How do you plan for something like what happened to you?

The only thing you can do is remove anything valuable, wife and his super cool Rousch.

The rest you have to eat like a bitter apple.

WOW... that is devastating, I am really sorry to see that. As mentioned above the main thing is that you and your family are OK. I wish you the best in getting through the process of getting your home back in order.

Again, in no way did I have it as bad as so many, there were people who lost everything. All I had was a wet basement(unfinished) and a roof leak.

I live down the steet from BigZ and I thought I would post a few pics, sorry for the poor quality.

The first couple are of my yard, then the river which is supposed to look a whole lot smaller, lol.

We have one way in our road and as you can see it was a little blocked.

For reference this was on Sunday.

Hey Andres, sorry again about your flooded house, yea driving through some of the water was about the only high point of all that mess.

I will say I was biting my nails watching that damn river rise, ended up ok, we had no power, but Sunday night and Monday I cooked everything in the freezer on the gas grill...oh and drank a lot of warm beer:beerchug:

So yeah, compared to you and alot of others, we were in good shape.
And I am sure if you want a H1 you will be passing me in my old heap soon:)

WOW! I'm glad to hear you're all safe.
Sad to see your nice house and the rest of the city like that. I know that we've been here in Oregon thinking about Nashville and the flood. You were'nt completely forgotten! I know what you mean when you say no one has even said squat about it on the news. Our President hasn't said anything about Tennessee or the poor fellas that died on that oil rig, not that I've heard.

I wish you the best, guys!:grouphug:

Glad you weren't injured and the cars are safe! I thought about you the minute I saw the flooding on the TV. We had a small vacation home that was destroyed by the Missouri River in the Great FLood of '93 - that was a once in 1000 year flood also - seems like we're having a lot of those lately! I ripped out all the drywall and used more KILLZ than I can remember. My Hummer helped with the sandbagging in Clarksville, MO two years ago, so living by two major rivers I've seen a lot of flooding and it rips your heart apart. Things can be replaced, but lives can't.
