Update: Gobi with lights

Hello my fellow hummer brothers! Thought id post some pics after completing the gobi. Gobi ranger rack with 4 hella 500 black magic. also added the piaa 550's to the brushguard. im not crazy about the light output of the hellas but the blackout looks bada$$ imo. on the other hand i LOVE the piaa 550's. i look for an excuse to turn them on every night! they are wired into my drl's so the tiny bulb glows yellow at night which is quite a sight! and the high beams on them are bright as ****.

Is that lightbar separate or part of the brushguard? I like the height of the lights vs the factory ones that I had.

I have a light bar and have been wondering how to wire it so the bar turns on when I turn the high beams on. Was it complicated?

Do those Hellas have covers on them in the pictures or is that the way they looked with the daylight?

the lightbar is part of the brushguard. thanks to Roushdemon! and the hellas have covers on them. when the covers are off they just look black. i can get some pics soon. thanks guys!

well i am thoroughly impressed with Gobi. went camping 2 nights ago loaded the rack up with coolers tents wood food and chairs. thing worked like a dream. so after setting up camp we realized the main support beam on our tent was snapped in half. we had another tent but it was smaller so i just said f*ck it im sleepin on the Gobi. threw 3 comforters up there and slept like a baby with one other person, that is until it rained at 6 am.

he has a level kit with 38x15.5 tires. thats why it looks so wide cause his tires are so wide... looks bada$$

Do the piaa's just replace the stock bulbs? Or do you have to install a HID kit to power them? If so, where can I find the bulbs and or the kit? I have HID's for my main lights on my 08 H2.

Stainless, I dont have HID on my truck, Bigz does... I do have a leveling kit and 38s but it will soon be a Fabtech kit with 40's... Gimmie a few weeks.:jump:
