Just wondering from h2 owners how much does it take to fill up your hummer. I am thinking of getting one and althought gas price is not important to me I just wanted to know if I will be paying $100 everytime i fill up. And is it true that fuel economy is aobut the same as expeditions, yukons etc.
Thanks

On the other hand, about the same as the Expedition, Suburban, big Mercedez, 7 series BMW, Excursion, etc.
Average fill-up for me is about 27 gallons.

SO it you fill up 27 gallons at the common reg price of 1.85 (NC price) you pay on average $50 to fill up

Was there really a need for this line of questions. Are you sure you are old enough to buy an H2 if you are not old enough to see how many gallons the H2 will hold and multiply that number by whatever freaking price of gas you want.
I paid $1.48 per gallon last week and paid $1.89 today. So what exactly is the point to, first, even needing to know how much it costs to fill up, and secondly, asking someone to do simple math for you. You know, a few weeks ago it only cost me $9.50 and my needle was sit nice and sweet on F. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Crystal, you posted a question that is very easily searched and followed it with the good ole' http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif. Makes folks wonder.

How much ?
I have a 05 H2 and it's getting 12.4 MPG. Gas was $2.19 a gallon the other day and the pump stopped at $50.00. It was close to "E"mpty and the $50 didn't cover it. I could of re-inserted the card for another 5-10 dollars of gas but..
The H2 sucks gas hard.... But that's the price you pay.

I was thinking the same thing Jonahs. The H3 will have a much better MPG than H2 so it would be more important to know about the H3.
Good choice of ride though Crystal. We plan to welcome the H3 owners with open arms but, just as a tease remind them they are our little brothers and may get teased and picked on. But, that is because We Love them and welcome them to the Hummer family.
Good luck on Your purchase.

Well, would you like for us to do your taxes and wipe your ass for you as well. I'm sorry, I think you have a few things confused here. First, you specifically asked me a question. See the quote below that was your first post in this thread. It asks "from h2 owners how much does it take to fill up your hummer." Secondly, I can't get into your post, it's a security thing. Only you can post and edit posts in under your name. Now, if you are referring to this thread, it's not yours. You don't own it. Thirdly, Ken is about as nice as a rattlesnake in a bed of mice. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
So, I believe you need to sit down, take a deep breath and realize how dumb of a question you asked to begin with. Yes, there are such things as dumb questions. The point of your question is about as useful as a tachometer on a toilet seat. A grown up question would be, "what are you guy's average MPG" or "how much per gallon are you guys paying at the pump" or "Can the H2 scale a 20" vertical wall."

I don't need anyone to do anything for me acutally especially the likes of you. My question was not directed towards anyone with such a negative view. Cmax. . .The H2, even used, is an expensive vehicle to purchase and an expensive vehicle to operate. While I suppose there is nothing wrong with checking out things like MPG, if that and the price of gas will determine whethere or not you can AFFORD an H2, then you probably can't.
And again, there's nothing wrong with that. . .I couldn't reasonably afford an H1, which is why I bought an H2 (among other reasons like comfort, etc). Perhaps waiting util the H3 is available might, indeed, be the right move for you. Especially with the price of gas heading up.

...does it come in CHROME?? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>It's actually coated with a nano microus layer of Chromium Madeupicide bonded to each valency shell at a sub atmoic level to help diffuse the irregular ion stream, and allow access to the Zero Point Energy suggested by quantum physics, which incidentally amounts to a staggering 10^104 joule per cubic centimeter of space, (you'll just have to take my word for it, but that is one major energy supply).
So yes you get chrome, and enough energy to destroy the World several times over. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>The coup de grace to the whole concept is the move away from antimatter reactors and finally being able to create self-sustaining fission. The kicker is once you get the SOB started it's hard as hell to stop.

Crystal,
I think what people are trying to say is that maybe your question could have been worded differently. By asking how much it costs to fill up, you negate several variables - the gas prices where we live ($2.20 on the west coast, $1.65 here in San Antonio - makes a HUGE difference), the MPG we typically get (a stock truck will get much better fuel economy than a lifted rig with a Gobi rack), and at which point we fill up our tanks (some fill at half empty, I never let mine got past 1/8th of a tank, others let their trucks run nearly bone dry). See my point? What costs one H2 owner $70 to fill up may cost a different owner $30 to fill up. No matter who answers your question, none of the numbers mean anything because of the different circumstances.
If you truly want to know what to expect, then ask what kind of MPG people are getting and what mods they have on their vehicles. That way you can judge how much of a "padding" you'd leave in your tank before re-fueling and calculate what it would cost YOU to fill up based on your local gas prices and any mods you might make to your vehicle.
