Sneak Peek of the Custom Rigid Light Bar in the lower grille.
This will be a kit you can purchase for the H2's for 03-07. I have not looked at the deisgn behind the lower grille on the 08-09 yet. But I know the lower grille is different.
I got the spacers designed/ made today, templates made for the 2 holes that need to be drilled, and mounted it up. I have to do a full install guide with pics yet.
* Rigid Ind LED bar was cut to the specification I requested.
* It fits like a glove with enough room around it for through airflow/proper cooling, light output without shadowing.
* Roughly a one hour install is what I estimate once the kit is completed.
* You do have to dremel out the lower grille, but the lines are so easy to do and that plastic gets cut like a hot knife through butter.

* Hinges with the hood also. So you don't have to remove that bumper.
* Sits back far enough you won;t smack it on stuff either.

I will do a custom rack so the bar sits back in there. I don't mind it out front, but I do prefer the integrated look. I'll have to get more pics in the daylight on how it mounts up and looks from the side profile. It's a monster.
I have to do the the wiring next week though. I'm excited to get these lit up. ..my neighbors won;t be though. :fdance:
This pic is a bad angle. I have the bar sitting 1/4" lower than the top bar of the GOBI.

What is the current draw on those two light array?
Draw is very low on the lower grille. 5.2 amps.
The 50" bar up top is 14.4 amps.

Looks pretty cool. How will the lower LED be switched and wired?
Each bar has their own harness/ switch.
The upper bar has 8guage wire coming out of each side. So I will run 1 wire down teh pssd A Pillar and negative wire down the drsd A Pillar and over dirrect to the battery for now. I am putting together a dual battery kit and aux. relay panel for accesories under the hood at some point.
S-Pod 4X4 makes a nice setup. I will be installing that in there.
The lower grille baris easy to route the wire. I put a grommit in the firewall to run all my switch wires through, but that's as far as I got yesterday.

Any pics of them lit at night? I'm curious how much light those LEDs throw.
VERY neat install...on both...I like the integrated look! Sweet.

The lower grille is mounted with aluminum spacers. I have to do a full wrietup for the kit. That will have the pics in it. The ones I took aren't detailed enough with lighting in the garage.
This bar has is labeled as a 16. That is the lense size. The bar itself with framework and mounting hardware is 18 3/4".
This bar was a custom length build, but will be available in the near future as an EH H2 Lower Grille LED bar. Clear or Amber. Combo flood/ spot.

They are a lot more practical for me with all the snow and blizzards we get up here.

There's a funny that goes with "da amberlamps". Google it.
I'd also like to put an amber LED light bar in the same spot that Timmay did. Great for snow, rain and dust.
