Would you even consider a shipping attempt? Wrap the tubes with something to protect the coating and strap it to a pallet maybe? I'm not sure how they get shipped from RubberDuck, something along those lines I imagine.

idk Eric i ran my demonguard head on into a brick wall at 25mph during an ice storm and sufferred no damage to the actual rig. just had to have the brushguard realligned and powdercoated :giggling:
Im going to have to stick to team Andres on this on :grouphug:

yeahhh I figured :) it's a good video though! Both are solid guards, I AM going to buy a Rubber Duck at some point, if I can get a lightly used one that would be ideal! But living in North Dakota is a PITA and usually kills any large deal like this :(

Shipping will kill you on this guard!! I literally paid 545 for shipping last year to texas and yes it was strapped down on a pallet and really protected with foam and alot of tape and wrap. Sorry, but like I said I am willing to meet within a certain distance to seal the deal. Just want to give an elcova member the first try on buying before she goes up on ebay.

I hate to be a pain int he ass, but do you have any side pics. Here's what Im trying to see, I have the fender flares on my truck. The treehugger looks like it comes close to where the flares would be sticking out, just trying to see if it will fit.

Sorry truck sold I dont know if it will clear but it does have enough space i believe, but dont quote me on that. Best bet is to give Rubber duck 4x4 a call and verify from them personally.

Rubberducks' site (http://www.rubberduck4x4.com/store/pc/H2-TreeHugger-Brushguard-142p692.htm) has some good photos of the side of the guard. FWIW, that lower main rail that wraps around the front of the truck does appear to run from the front edge of the stock flair. What sort of clearance is in there is really hard to tell by the photos.

I am pretty sure that as long as you do not have the extened E&G flares you should be just fine. I do not know if the E&G's would clear the guard.
As far as shipping goes Hermans was an extreme case as he was stationed in the middle of nowheresville. I remember having a conversation with the Duck about what a pain it was and how crazy expensive shipping was on his guard because of Hermans location. I think Duck can get these shipped around $200. You gotta remember he sells these all day long for H1's too.
Oh and as far as mowing down trees. Yes that video is neat but I have since then taken down MUCH larger trees! lol Seriously trees up to 5 inches in diameter are no problem.

If you could get it shipped in the $200 range we could probably work something out :excited:
Granted it's probably the LAST thing you really want to do.. But if no one buys it here or on ebay, look me up.

Don't want to pinch anything from 'seventwozero' but if shipping kills any possible sale to him I'd be willing to step-up. I could have it shipped to a Yellow Frieght Center.
Thanks,

:p You got that right!!! LOL I just want to throw it in the bed with all the hardware and truck it over to anyone in the VA area!! I swear I thought this beast would sell quicker than this. I still have other item to get rid of, bumper corners with lights, stock roof marker lights, limited edition solar flare rockers, the list goes on.... UGHH :violin:

Once I get back from AK I would be interested in picking some of your stuff up (pending prices of course, I'm not made of money!).
As for the tree hugger, I'm one to believe there a certain few of us that realllly want them and the rest of your average hummer owners don't have a clue :p If push comes to shove and you gotta get rid of it, you know where to find me!
edit: I would be interested in the bumper corners with lights, and maybe some other stuff depending on what you have.. Like I said though, finances are on hold till after my trip (the next 3 weeks or so).

I'm definitely getting one and have been in contact with Travis about options, etc. so I'll go that route if packaging and shipping is an ordeal. Figured I could save a few hundred if you wanted to ship but hopefully it sells local (and I completely sympathize with trying to package and ship that boat anchor).

Yeah fellas this thing is stupid heavy:D but its a very damn nice guard!!! Travis added two extra light tabs on mine for free so its got that but no limb risers which im sure could be added just as easy. The bumper corners dont come with any bulb and wiring its just the corners with the lenses. Just never got around to putting them on mine.

It's legit. I just installed one on my ride a couple of weeks ago and it really sets the ride apart. These are pretty heavy duty too, the shipment when it came to me was just over 200 lbs including pallet. Whoever gets this for 1G is getting hooked up big time, good luck with the install though, not as easy as it looks. Bada$$ upgrade though, I would buy right now if I didn't already have- good luck on the sale!

SPLNE1 - Hey bud, on that treehugger, when you installed it did you have any issues with the grill not clearing the mount brackets when trying to open the hood?
Installed mine a while ago and didn't think about it until I started contemplating my next oil change and found that my hood would not open all of the way, grill isn't clearing the mounting brackets for the brushguard.
Let me know if you had this issue or not and what your solution was if so will you?
Thanks man-

No, I actually got one direct from them (Rubberduck) and spent about a week getting it put on over the course of several hours a night. Once I got it on there, I didn't want to mess with it anymore after all of the work and I left it for a week or more. One I went back to check on it I tried to tilt the brush guard forward and check the hood clearance and found that it was not going to clear.
Actually went to post some pics the other night and couldnt' figure out how to get them to post in... do you need to put them on an online photo bucket first and then post links? Couldn't seem to figure out how some of you were posting the pics inside your post... suggestions would be nice.
Hi if you are having problems posting pictures of your guard email them to me or Bimmer9938 one of us will do it for you my email is: tracy588@rogers.com

H2MUCH no problems here I just reversed the bolts so when I opened them they loosened and when i closed the guard they tightned up. I cant remember which way the nuts go....:giggling: (insert gay joke here) ANYWAY!! left or right try swapping em out and when you open your hood open it all the way till it touches the lower bumper. It will look pretty weird but it works!!:D
H2Much
09-04-2011, 04:50 AM
When you are talking about the bolts that you reversed, are you talking about the ones on the brushguard brackets or the ones on the grill? Just a little confused.
I can open the brushguard all of the way, no prob, but when I go to open the hood, as it folds forward, the chrome grill actually sticks out enough to hit the brackets (or the other way around) holding the brushguard; does that make sense? Really can't see how to make it so that the hood can open without cutting or fabbing the chrome grill somehow.
Let me know what you think. I am going to see if I can take some pics and have some of the other guys help me post them so that I can show you what I am talking about.
