Oh man....on the way to aamco I was going up a hill. Tranny downshifted.... and never shifted back up. Seems I only have first And second now. Turned back around and drove back home. Anyone experience this before??

There's alot of ways trannies like to grenade. Not much servicable on them for someone unfamiliar w/ rebuilding them.
If you have zero intentions of getting rid of the truck any time soon, I would highly suggest looking at an 4l80 upgrade. There is not a significant cost difference between the 4l60 and 80.

So tranny is done most likely? Was afraid of that. So strange because reverse first and second gear are so strong. Wouldn't even know anything was wrong until third gear time. Suckssss but I do plan on keeping the hummer. Nothing else quite like a hummer. So what do you think a tranny swap would cost.
