Spent this past week up in the north woods of Maine. Took some nice pics.
Took me 11 hours to get there with minimal stopping. Freakin far.
Got some nice R&R, camped on this beautiful lake part of the time.
Another shot of the lake.

OUT OF MY WAY YA BASTIDS!!!
Another lake I camped by.
Miles and miles of logging roads. I love getting lost on these roads and trying to find my way back.
I hiked this mountain called Double Top. 3500 feet high, big stuff for us east coast.
Can you see all the murdered bugs.
Better angle. I don't know how you guys out in the woods get used to this.
Moose there through my window.
Car camp site. The camp sites in Maine are awesome and done right; so much privacy and you're almost always on a lake or stream, stream in this case.
We ran into some of my truck's second cousins.
Here I'm on my way to a really beautiful place called Deer Isle.
Lots of islands off Maine so everything is tidal and a mix of sweet and salt water. Tons of fishing and lobster boats.
Drove a lot on the beach.
One more. Habor in Stonington, Deer Isle at sunrise.

Beautiful shots!
Very nice! I love Maine. Now I can't wait to go back up there.
Hey Zing, welcome back. It sure looks beautiful up there. Glad you had a good time.
By the way, I hate these things too. I want to shoot them all. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Thanks for the great pictures! My camera starter turning out really dark and out of focus shots, video seem ok. Maybe I shouldn't bought on ebay. But I can't learn, back looking at another one. Panasonic sv-av100. Not cheap! $1k
I don't know how good Panasonic is for cameras. When I was research I found Canon to be the best rated, and I've always used Canon.
I use a simple Canon Powershot S-400. About $300 and it's the size of a cigarette box. I absolutely love it.

Incredible pictures. I have family in Bangor Maine. The canoe shot picture is one of my favorites.

Zing,
Great pictures, I especially like the "family portrait" shot.
I also agree with Zing, Canon makes the best digital cameras. I have a Canon power shot SD 100. It has the exact demensions of a pack of Marlboro cigarettes.

Where in Main did you go??
I started in the North Woods and went to Baxter State Park. Spent about 7 days in that area. Then went over to Deer Isle, b. Acadia and Camden, which is where I took the beach shots.
Actually that next-to-last shot is some property on Deer Isle for sale that I turned into out of curiousity. Wanted to see the supposed views I wandered through the property and surprisingly popped out on the beach. No vehicles had been in there yet and the sand was loose and pitched pretty steep. Needed 4 low lock to get back out.
