The sunroof rocks is all I can say. Makes the cabin seem not so cavernous...

If you can remember to close it during a trip then go for it! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And remember to close it when going through mud lakes. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I would not consider an H2 without a sunroof now that I have mine.

I like have the sun roof, but I use it less and less. The more crap I put on the roof, the louder it gets when the roof is open.

I'm hoping Hummer will wise up and put in a second one over the back row seats, that would be sweeeeet. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Those wires are trick. I had them on my jeep. They are there to keep brush off the vehicle and away from the windshield so you can see on tight overgrown trails. They saved the hood on my jeep from numerous scratches. Better resale for when I bought my hummer. Nice

I didn't get a sunroof and don't regret it. My previous experience with a sunroof is that I eventually never use it.

However, I am re-thinking the usefulness of a sunroof over the back seat . . . just behind a gunmount. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I had one on my Jeep and never used it. On the occasions I did, I closed it within a minute or two because of the noise. So when I bought my H2 I decided I would go without. And as that immortal pop singer William Hung said "I have no regrets!"

My first H2 had a moonroof. It always leaked through the onstar mike and the trim. The Dealer made several attempts, most of them being clearing the drain but any time I parked at a certain angle in the rain it would drop a stream of water on my lap. I since traded my H2 in for another with no sunroof. In my opinion I think GM did an amazing job in designing the H2 but skimped on the moonroof design. And by the way I know at least 5 out of 7 H2 owners who have the same problem and 2 are 05's.

No leak here. Well, that is unfair. I think it has only been rained on about 6 times... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif But it has never leaked during a car wash... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

The 04 H2 yel did not have one, but I wanted that H2. Had one added by dealer. It's smaller, but I got to keep one of my storage boxes, not with factory sun roofs. One button opens all the way. Other sets sun roof to vent, last one closes all the way. Can open to any location and closes from any location auto when leaving truck from all posistions. The tech has done 100's. NO I don't have the dealer do everything. PICK what mod you want done right. And what mods can be done by others. Don't buy tires and wheels from dealer, got it!

I went by a local body shop on friday for the hell of it. They are very well known for their sunroofs and the fact that never leak and are always perfectly done.

I was just curious and asked them about putting in 2 roofs. They haven't done an H2 yet and their only issue is degrading the strength of the internal structure of the roof. Said they would have to take down the liner and give it a look-see. Anyway, to get it done would be about $2000 for both, installed.

They are the only reason I didn't get the stock sunroof, but it hasn't been a high priority to get one in. With them doing the custom install I can get it installed the way I want.

Didn't get one, wish I had. Thinking about having the dealer install one. I hear they make it look very much like the factory installation. Anyone know if that is accurate?

I know this is an old thread but did anyone end up getting an aftermarket sunroof? I looked at the Webasto's and they have a cool rag top that expose the roof wide open!

I figure if the kids got crazy I'd open the roof on them in the rain like our baseball stadium!

I have one on mine it was a requirement. I think it makes the inside more "open" looking or something. I put 5% tint on it.. Like I will ever open it.. But ooo look I can see the clouds..

Had one in my first H2 and it leaked through the onstar mike. The dealer made several attempts but it boils down to a bad design with the drain system. Don't know if they fixed it in the later model year. In anycase it is personal preference. My new H2 has no Moonroof. My opinion is they are loud and annoying when open and definetley weaken the structure as well as eventually leak.

We had an aftermarket sunroof in our 03... it was an adventure with all the lux appointments except for a sunroof...

We never had any probs w/ ours...

I have an 05 w/ sunroof...my only wish was that the global open button openned the sunroof too...considering the sunroof is 5 square feet in size...most people AWE at its SIZE ( I like to mirror my H2 w/ my reality in life :-) )

almost feels like a convertable w/ all the windows and sunroof open...my ONLY wish was that the rear window also openned fully...then the dogs could slobber on the people EATIN MY DUST http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I have a sunroof. I opened it once. I wish I didn't have it because it is one more thing that can break and/or leak when I'm hunting in the mountains in the snow. So far, though, it hasn't caused me any problems.

And I LOVE my H2, with or without it.

I can't speak for Long Island, but here in So Cal, I would never own a vehicle without a sunroof unless it was a roadster, rag-top, spyder, targa, T-top... You get the idea.

Neither of my H2's had a sunroof but I want one bad! The first time around I read issues regarding leaks so I declined. The second time around I had no choice. However, you don't end up getting one, Webasto has some cool options. I especially like the panoramic sunroof that peels back your entire roof!

I have a webasto aftermarket sunroof in my vehicle. Haven't had any problems with it. My only complaint is that it's not factory http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif When you look closely, you can tell it's aftermarket and you can see imperfections here and there in the headliner....Of course, it's the installer's fault, not webasto...but that's my only experience. If I had a choice right now, I would install a new one, and get someone to redo the whole headliner....but that's me...

I have only had 2 vehicles in my life that were not either sunroof, t-tops or convertible. By far my overall favorite is the sunroof. I love all of them but the sunroof offers you the openness without the hassle of messing with t-tops and in my opinion is nicer on the highway than a convertible. My first car was a classic convertible, then two vehicles with t-tops, then nothing but sunroofs http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Anymore, the sunroof is one of the first options that I require in a vehicle.

No sunroof on mine... may consider it on the next one, though. I like the idea of the overhead console, but 3 sunglass holders is a bit overkill...
