You don't like seeing a dirty Hummer? First of all there's nothing dirty about a Hummer. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Second, are you the original Boy in the Plastic Bubble?

Do you ever go over the speed limit in your Viper?

DRTYFN:Actually I ususally never drive over the speed limit in my Viper. It is just too noticable and loud to risk it. Now I always drive 5-7 miles over but most of the time never 10+. I have never taken my Hummer off roading I look foward to the time when I can. I have only had the H2 for a month. I will take it only on non-damaging trails. Yeah I know boring maybe one day I will work my way up to more extreme trails. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Wow!! You're definitely compensating for a very boring personality by buying exciting vehicles.
Only 10 over in a Viper?!!! Excuse me... but what a waste and what a serious puss. Haven't you ever done any reconnaissance of your area to find a nice stretch of road that's suitable for a burst of speed? The best part of having a fast car is finding that one road that you can safely have fun on.
The same goes for the H2. Find a trail, an uneven dirt lot or even just a dirt berm that you can practice on and build your confidence. Practice straddling things, putting your front tire up on things and just learning what your H2 will do so when the time comes that you do need to overcome an obstacle you'll be prepared.

Thanks...I think. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif Anyway with the Viper I was talking about general driving since 99.9% of the time I am surrounded by traffic while driving my Viper. Thus the needed caution while driving it. I have had the Viper up to 150 mph and she hadn't even broke a sweat. I still had 6th gear left. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Back to the Hummer I am a major rookie when it comes to off-roading since I have never done it. I wish I could move to Oregon and you could show me the ropes!!! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Shaggy,
How about after Moab we start a post with all of the pics of your garbage hauler getting winch along the trail?
And how about you stop dispensing Hummer advice until you actually have one.

Hummer_Viper, you've got great terrain all around you. I wonder if you could trail through the Badlands, that would be some cool pics. And I remember seeing all kinds of places to go offroad west of Rapid City. I spent a few past August's in your neck of the woods on two wheels.

Ok, fine...
Hey guys have you heard that the demographics for the Chevy ZR2s show a majority of the owners are into getting teabagged while their nuts are duct taped to a hot curling iron?
I was also reading that the owners of those things like playing with fire, torturing small animals and purposely defecating in their pants. All of the prerequisite characteristics for serial killers.
Uhm... I don't think I want Shaggy to go with us to Moab anymore.

First off...this is what my truck looks like.http://www.alecwallis.com/Gallery/107/Picture%20011.jpg

Secondly, I get 15-18 mpg.
And lastly, the more time goes by, the less I want to go to Moab with you guys, so odds are when March rolls around I will not be going.

paragon:Right on the Sturgis Ralley. We have maybe 5 H2's in Rapid City. I would like to get into a club so we could all trail together. I guess i'm going to have to start the club. One negative thing about having rides that are somewhat rare it's hard to hook up with others to share the same interests. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Shaggy, sorry if you've covered this already but is your truck the s10 ZR2?

If so, I had one, and this honestly is not a shot at you or your truck but man, that thing was a piece of SH!T. It literally dropped 4 trannies in the first 13 months I owned it. They never could figure out why but the tourque converters would just shrapnel as I was driving down the freeway. I know...lemon law...but NM had a funky version of the law which required 4 major malfunctions in the first 12 months, and my 4th tranny let go at 13 months.....so I was just lucky I guess.

Hopefully you have/will have better luck with yours.

Chris

Yeah...its is a 96 s10 Zr2. I have beat the living crap out of my truck (numerous dents), and I have yet to have a single problem. I have had it for about 14 monthes now, and I have put over 30000 miles on it (has 125k total), and all I have had to replace was brake pads and oil.

Sorry you had so many problems with yours, maybe you were just too nice to it. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
