There are not too many H2s around the area that I live but I was running down I-75 yesterday afternoon when a yellow one was comming the other way and she flashed her lights twice at me so I flashed her right back, kind of a cool HI to one another I thought. Then going into town this morning same thing from a black H2. Is this starting a new trend??? /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I hope it is a trend, it's kind of cool. A wave along with it is even more personal. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I hope this is a trend. Not too many other people in NY state seem to be interested in others. In Vermont, we've run into a few, and they've waved or flashed brights, but in NY state, none of the others seem to care. Maybe there's a sense that it's not cool to do anything. Me, I'm still excited. When I can't go out and look at ours, I go to eBay or other sites and look at them.
It is puzzling, I am at 3200 miles, I have only seen maybe 4 or 5 Hummer H2s on the road so far. My local dealer 3 miles away must have sold 400 H2s by now.

I wish I could get the snobs down here in South Florida to do the same. I think that I am the only one who flashes.
Hmmm... notice that the guy who doesn't see others H2s whilst living next to the dealer is the same guy who backs up into parked vehicles in his driveway. Starting to see some consistencies here. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Think he was the ref who made the "tuck rule" call in that snowy Pats/Raiders game?

Since some of us are in the Bay Area (and follow the Raiders) are we sure we want to get into the legitimacy of that call here on this forum? /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Hey, I'm with the Raiders fans on that call. A Pat fan would never bring it up because they'd rather forget how they got to the Super Bowl. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I've run into many H2s in Colorado and only a few have waived or flashed back. I have gotten waves and flashes from all the H1 owners I come across, tho. Thanks to those few!

Doesn't surprise me at all that the H1 guys /gals wave at you. I believe all of the H1 owners are of a similar type, ideals and personalities are both probably similar.
H2 owner types are as wide-ranging as any other vehicle. That's why we have slow drivers and respect for each other. But, we also have fast drivers and a lack of respect for anyone else as they weave in and out of traffic and tailgate other smaller vehicles.
Look at our forum. We have many different types of folks here. They are all cool for the most part, but some are as different as they get. But everyone is respectful of everyone else. I have not seen anyone one on this forum be disrespectful with the intent of hurting someone's feelings. Although on a couple of occasions it did get close.
The point of my rambling is............I Think? is that.... don't be surprised if some H2 owners ignore you as they pass you and tailgate the car in front of you. That's just the way it is.
H1 owners on the other hand. They're not passing anyone nor will they tail gate anyone because the H1 won't keep up with anything on the road. It only takes it 18 seconds to get to 60 MPH and what else do they have to do, but to wave.....AND NO I AM NOT SLAMMING THE H1, I would have one if I could afford it.
Besides, most of the H1 owners are 4x4 enthusists, while H2 owners are everything from 4x4 every weekend to NO, Not ever, Will my H2 get off the highway.
That's just my opinion and I could be wrong....

HeeHaw, must be the electro shock treatment, once you get used to it, you'll love it, just like washing Hummer. I love it when you talk nonsense and make a fool out of yourself.
Let me qualify myself first, I went off-roads and I like tools, just bought 2 pliers in auto store yesterday, I am no sissy pinko wacko feel-good helicopter-hooks kid, I wash my own Hummer, check my own tire pressure and I don't tip my newspaper guy. Let me show you my gun collection. I can feel the hair growing on my chest.
Regarding my relationship with another Hummer driver on the road, I sort of feel an harmonic convergence of energy among me and the other Hummer driver on the road is more natural and quite adequate, instead of any superficial wave, which I am not oppose to and will certain wave back. Such was the case when I was on 280 freeway with this black H1 directly in front or behind me for 6 miles, none of us wave at each others, but you knew we were both looking at each others for 6 miles, we could not take our eyes off each others. The love and affection is obvious to both of us and every vehicle around these 2 black Hummers, one can feel the passion and harmonic convergence of energy and cosmic rays. We did not flash our lights at each others, but love was certainly in the air moving at 80 MPH.

First of all,
You never go off road
You don't own any tools
You didn't buy 2 pliers in auto store yesterday, you bought fingernail clippers.
You don't wash anything, especially that big thing. (H2)
You don't check anything on the Hummer, much less the tire pressure
You don't tip your newspaper guy and this I know because he is my brother.
Your gun collection consists of a slingshot and BB gun for shooting at cans in the backyard
and lastly, You shave your chest. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Now, the next time I wave at you, don't you dare look the other way. Wave back at me! I'm tired of driving by your house and you not waving at me. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I saw 2 HUMMERS tonight in Beverly Hills and waved at both of them.
They ignored me... I'm hurt.
HeeeeeeeeeeHawwwwwwwwwwwwwww
I did, I do and I don't, I'm gonna tell my Mom you said all these bad things about me, and I will report you to Jason. I bear such burden of being the deep spiritual Hummer guru among shallow Hollywood morons.

Cool. I hope it's just your brights. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif What's your setup again, so we NY'ers can look for you? We're on north shore semi-regularly to visit the in-laws, so we stand a decent chance of seeing you. Like half the H2's in NY, we're Pewter with wrap & tail guards, so I can't help you much with any identifying characteristics. Look for two batty 30's-ish people smiling like fools.

Seriously... Jeeps are like our little brothers- both with our start in the Military and stuff... deffinitely a family resemblence. I'd drive a Liberty any day my H2 was in the shop...
