What kind do you guys have installed? This darn thing sucks backing up in the dark. I need to get some kind of lighting back there. I've seen some that use the hitch. Anyone have these? What was the install like?

Did you do the install yourself? I've been thinking of going with a GOBI rack, but I'm not sure if I have the know how for the install.
I also have the Gobi (Stealth) with PIAA rear lights. The rack itself is a very easy install, the lights are another story.

Do you think I should have someone do the whole things for me or is it something I could knock out in a weekend with a case of beer or two?
I didn't do my own lights, but many here have. Try searching around, I know the info is here somewhere. At least it would give you an idea of the difficulty.

KenP thats what I was just doing. I don't know. Putting the rack seems pretty basic but I think the lights are going to be more of a pain. Who did you have do yours and how much did they charge if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks

Dealer... Too much, but I was having a bunch of other things done too. I just tacked this on.
The rack is brain dead stupid to install. You need one person to help as long as both of you are over 6' tall. And you only need the helper for 5 minutes. Just long enough to lift the rack up and on. You can do all the rest yourself.

I'll do the install of the rack and let the dealer mess with the lights. It just isn't worth it to me. I have have to pay twice as much to fix the wires I shouldn't have cut.
Thanks for the help.

I have a friend that is an electrician so maybe I can buy a case or two and get him to help me with the wiring. I was just going to call the dealer and see what they say about the price of install on the lights, if it isn't much I'll let them mess with it. The rack seems to be pretty basic I'll do that myself.
Thanks guys.
