You got off sooo light!! But that still blows. Was there major damage to the other vehicle? Was it a little tiny Prius, and did it go under?
So sorry to hear that, and that these are the first pictures we see of your new rig. Congratulations. Hopefully H2 bliss will overcome you shortly.

what a drag, man. As previously posted, just be happy that the damage(hopefully) is only on the bumper. Enjoy you Hummer. If you were hit in any other ride it would probably be a much more costly fix.

So lucky no paint work in needed. I wish I had my camera with me to take a picture of the other car. The bumper, hood, headlight and fender were crushed in.
The best is the lady who hit me said "I was looking for oncoming traffic and didn't see you" !!! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
I said "ARE YOU F@#KIN KIDDIN ME!!! THIS IS THE BIGGEST TRUCK ON THE ROAD AND IT'S LIT UP LIKE A F@#KIN UFO!!!"
By the way, this wasn't a Prius but it looked like a Prius, some kind of ridicules looking mini-van.
What a piece of crap!! It crumbled like a cookie on Train Tracks! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Just wanted to add my " That Stinks" to the forum.. I only scratched the rear door on the drivers side at the car washthe 1st week I had it.. Sad thing is I did it my own damn self. Not paying attention to the spray wand, and ran it down the door.. That evening on the way to get diapers for the new grand daughter the wind blew a small spool of wire and hit the front passanger fender, added a new chip in paint.. Good News mine still looks good 20 ft away. That's my rule now.. If I can't see it 20ft away it ain't hurt.. Sorry yours ain't a twenty footer even with my grandpa eyes..

NJH2,
First, glad no one was hurt.
Second, take it out on the worst trail you can find before you get it repaired http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
It's a bummer for your hummer but looks like an easy fix and the beast kept you safe!
Besides the plastic cover, the internal steel bumper parts will have to be replaced. Not a big deal, should be about $200-300+labor. The black plastic wheel well may need to be replaced too. Checked center bumper parts and metal surface very carefully in detail, it is hard to see the bend or dent on the lower center black metal bumper.
The good news is that it wasn't you running into that small car.

I took it in for an estimate yesterday and the breakdown is this:
Parts = $566.36
Body Labor = .08 hrs @ $40.00/hr = $32.00
Paint Labor = 1.5 hrs @ $4.000/hr = $60.00
Paint Supplies 1.5 hrs @ $20.00/hr = $30.00
Subtotal = $688.36
Tax = $41.80
GRAND TOTAL = $729.66
The Black paint is needed for the metal in the middle of the bumper.
Has anyone painted this a different color? I wonder how it would look if it was painted a different color instead of black?
DRTYFN, yes it did go under! Crushed itself from the top down http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

NJ I've been waiting for this to happen or a deer to get the front end so I have a good reason to put on the Tough Country steel bumper.
One of these on the rear would be nice,
