I assume you are talking about a reflection from the inside. If so, no it doesn't go away but over time it becomes less bothersome and you "look through it". Kind of like using polarized glasses.

Jerr, could you post a pick or two? I am thinking of going VERY dark on the rear.

I put limo tint on mine and like it. Its dark but when you are as ugly as I am, you dont want people seeing you.

Put limo tint on all the rear windows & even did a slight tint on front windshield!! Love it! Its definitely dark - the first time I drove it after the tint,(left my wiondows up a week all I could think was "I hope whoever is out there, has there lights on!!" My kids love it, especially when they're watching their movie. I put in 4 monitors; 3 headrest, 1 in the visor!

put tint up front 2 windows and the next back 2 , as for the way back side and rear window , it remains factory

I'm into this SUT thing a little too much http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I take it you didnt' like his brush guard. Good job on the trash can and trees, though. This could be passed off as real.

Didn't like the tail light guards & side steps either http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif It came out okay, I wasn't trying to get it perfect, just close to see how it would look.

It looks pretty good as an SUT!

Dan, add the chrome mirrors and it could be yours.

Isn't there a legal limit to the amount of front window tint? I know there is here in Texas. Police don't like walking up to tinted front side windows which they can't see in. I don't blame 'em. In fact I'd pull 'em over with gun drawn and ticket them in a heart beat.

Most (if not all) states have a limit, I don't know if mine is legal or not, but at road blocks and such (haven't been pulled over yet) I roll down the windows so it doesn't become an issue.

In CT it's 35%. You can get away with 20%, especially if you're an adult & look "normal". My wife's SUV has 20% on the front 2 and it matches the factory rear windows. Dark enough for some privacy, but still light enough to see through at night without a problem.

I've been stopped with super dark tint & it was never mentioned. Never heard of anyone in this area getting a ticket for it either.

It must vary from area to area, and also if you appear to fit a certain profile.

Well, I'm all for profiling. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Back in the day, mid '80s I had a blinged out Dodge Colt (imagine that http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif) with limo all around. One of VA's finest Troopers stopped me just for that and gave me a ticket.

As long as you don't start profiling pewter, I guess I am safe, Jim.

The legal limit in CA is 35%. However all you need is a certificate that says 35%. We have 50% on our vette and a certificate that says 35%. Luckily have never been pulled over but if so we have "proof" that we are ok.

The tinting guys said that if we do get a ticket for $175 they would re-tint the windows to 35%, or for $200 they could get someone to sign off the ticket for us. I thought it was kinda funny! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Locally they purchased a few light transmission meters that slip over the top of the window glass and if it does not pass enough light, you are ticketed. As they have invested in the new toys, you can rest assured that it will supplement the radar toy box for raising additional revenue.
