Just picked up my new H2 on Saturday. Two weeks from now is the Hummer Happenings Event. What do I need to do to my vehicle to prepare? I was thinking of removing my tubular side steps for starters. For those that have been there, is it worth going? I want to learn how use my H2 to its full capabilities. I've never done serious off-roading before and I think this would be a great experience.

Thanks

The side steps will indeed break or get bent. I've seen it already on a friends H2. Be sure to bring a digital camera and a co-pilot for pic taking and no-scratch guidance on the trail. Just know your H2 is capable of much more than you will do at the adventure.

Have fun!

Of all the Hummer Happenings I've attended, the dealers had their mechanics on hand to remove the steps & bars.

As we say (in the club)...either YOU can remove them, or the trail will!!!! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif We've not done one event where the bars would have come out okay.

The important thing is to eat as much food as possible. Oh yeah....it's a food thing!

Thanks for all your replies! I'm taking off the steps myself and not screwing around. The dealer sponsering the event is #1 Cochran in Monroeville, PA and the Hummer Happening is at Nemecolin Woodlands www.nemacolin.com (http://www.nemacolin.com)
