I must say I am nuts about keeping my rides clean, but this winter has drove me nuts. I no sooner get my H2 washed it either snows or or warms up just enough to make mud out of my road and cover the truck. I had to go to friends house today, and his road was terrible. so when I was headed home for the day I stopped by a quarter wash to spray it off...$4.00 in quarters later it was clean enough to be seen in again.
how often do you guys wash your rides when the roads are crappy?

Anyone try that Mr. Clean stuff???? IT WORKS!!!!
I thought it was another gimmic. I have always had black vehicles and I know how hard black is to keep clean and water spots.
I haven't washed mine since this:

Ken Your bad as I am about when You drive Your Baby.
The MR. Clean is for real. In between trips everyother week to detailer for the super duper wash which they call almost detail, I use Mr. Clean. The first time I was shocked. I got the original one and now they have one with more pressure. The one I have works fine but it never fails You buy something and then 2 months later it is improved.
Oh, I just got back from My relaxing drive before bed.
Jonahs that economy is doing something as i cleared avg. MPG and by the time i got back from an hour drive includig freeway, redlights, etc. I pulled in garage with 14.3 avg. MPG. I do not like the trany shift at all. I'm going to hook back up and change trany with it in econo and see what happens.

Depends, but about once a week. It doesn't stay clean for more than a day or two though. I can't wait until all the snow is gone and they clean up all the sand. Get behind a truck on the highway and its like driving through an asteroid field with all the **** flying. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif
I have no problem getting it dirty, but I like it nice and shiny in between. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

On the personal hygiene front: If you're French you only need to wash up once a year. Soap is optional.http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Awww come on TAZ. That just isn't long enough to get a solid MPG average. The few times I've reset mine it has always gone up....for a while. But if it stays there you've found the Holy Grail of H2s. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I know You are correct for sure. I'm going to run a tank through it and see how it holds up. I did notice though that when i was in perf. mode avg. MPG would adjust up and down alot more slowly like fuel usage was more stable even though lower MPG. IN the econo mode it goes up and down real fast. It will swing from 10 to as high as 17 while out on the ride last night and occasionally 20. It flucuated like it was really adding and cutting fuel more agressively depending on the condition. Hill, flat, hard acc., and slow acc. It was wierd. I know I just do not like the shift action in this mode.
I'll run there for a couple weeks just out of curiosity if the shifting doesn't get to Me to soon. If I can stand it.

Same sal/sand problem here in NH. And btw, for them it IS free. The town just comes back to the taxpayers and makes us pay for it.
