2wd/4wd transfer case conversion

do you think it would be possible to put the transfer case of a 2500 chevy or gmc on a h2 both have the same 6.0 engineasthe hummer . they use a 2wd/4wd selectable transfer case

You might want to make sure they are the same transfer case I just put an new one in my 2003 and I was told by GM and the guys that repaired it they are made for hummers only.

Search the more resent threads as this has been covered. A shop took a transfer case manual select 2W/4W and a manual tranny out of a 3/4 ton Silverado. Installed with making a few special mods but, nothing to difficult.
In 2W it smokes tires nicely and they say the MPG has improved generously.
