I am finally going to get to see an H3 http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I just happened to find out that my dealer has them on the lot. My son just happened to mention in passing that he saw they were there. I can not beleive the F***ing dealer. Of course not all are bad http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif They have my deposit and never called when they had a demo. I had to call him when I heard that they had one there but it was gone by then and now he doesn't call when they start arriving http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif Does anyone want to open a dealership here. Apparently they have too much business and don't take care of their customer. Sorry for the ranting http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif but will give a full report later. I will also be checking out the SUT as a possible alternative.

I wouldn't mind moving back to Florida -- maybe Sewell needs another dealership... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Ok, got to the dealership and they had at least ten sitting there. Had to wait for about 20 minutes for my salesman as he was working with someone else. Said all were presold and that mine should be in by the end of the month. Got to sit in one for a couple of minutes. I like it http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif All of them were loaded and running right at $40K. A pretty bad storm was blowing in so only got to check in out for a few minutes but I have to agree with a lot of you, the chrome package really feels cheap. Seats feel great and there is plenty of leg room for me at 6'2". I am going to go back tomorrow so I can spend some more time in it and test drive one. At this point I am in love with it but will have to see after a test drive. I am more than likely going to wait until the blue comes out as well. He did tell me they were not marking them up at all and that he would make me a deal. We will see what that means later.

What all was added to push the price up to $40k? Just curious because the highest I've seen here at Sewell is $38,810 and those are NICE.

Ok, couldn't get over to the dealer yesterday so I went this afternoon. I really do like it but the items that others have complained about are bothering me a little too. First the pedals. I wear size 13 shoes and I did find myself catching the brake pedal almost every time I pulled my foot off the gas. I really don't think this would be a big deal as I think you would get used to the pedals and change your foot positioning a little. As far as HP goes, didn't really get a chance to test it out but could tell a big difference from the V8 I drive right now. It did seem to do alright but again, I never really had to get out in front of someone. There is plenty of leg room in the drivers seat. I am 6'2" and didn't even need the seat back all the way. There is only one other car I can recall having that much leg room and it was a $100K vehicle. Not bad IMO. The one I drove was a Red Lux with off road suspension. It had pretty much all the bells and whistles you can get from the factory as well as brush guard and side steps. I misquoted earlier, the price was $38,955. They had been holding it for me to come look at but I just called and told him I didn't want that one. I am still going to wait for the blue and it also had a bunch of items that I really didn't care to pay them for anyway. I think I am going to start looking more seriously at the H2 while waiting. One of the things I feel in love with about the Hummers is its imposing size. It just isn't there in the H3. Don't get me wrong, it was hard to walk away from that beautiful red one today. I am going to look for a 03 or 04 H2 that I can get for about the same money and the depreciation should be better. Just my thoughts on it.

I am so absolutely unimpressed with my experience with this dealership.

I'm happy for you Newbie, it's about time you knew what you're buying. I just got word today that I will get mine.

Thanks Firm. I can't wait, I love the look and feel. Think I might be happier with the H2 but we will see if I can find one that works for my budget. Time will tell but didn't want to rush into getting something I didn't really want. So, do you know when you will be getting yours?

Supposedly it was built today, don't know when it will be ready. I'm flying to Sewell in Dallas to pick it up. I'm excited! I have a long drive ahead of me coming home, but I think I will enjoy it. I found out that the one I am getting is going to have a 6 disc CD changer, I am trying to decide how long I want to keep it before getting the Navi. I feel like I'm wasting money getting the changer just to get rid of it. You think if I get the Pioneer that the dealer will install it?

Congratulations!!! That will be a long drive. I made the trip from Dallas to Orlando a number of years ago. You can make a stop in New Orleans http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif You will probably be fine with the factory unit. When you go with the Pioneer, just put it in a safe dry place and you can put it back in when you go to sell down the road. I was actually fairly impressed with the factory system at least the little I listened to it. I don't think the Hummer dealer will install it. Are you buying the Pioneer from a local dealer or over the internet? If locally, they should be able to install it for you. Well, glad I got to drive one finally, but it is also a little depressing to know that it was mine if I wanted it and it is not sitting in my driveway right now http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif Oh well, I can wait a little longer I guess.

I had to walk away from one that wasn't right last week. Next year you'll be glad you didn't comprimise.
