Finally went out and splurged during christmas and got two bottles of this stuff. Cost was $1,545.oo/ea. Holy crap it was good!!!!! Only problem is that I have no idea what to do with the empty?? I know that it is handblown (okay stop thinking that way!!!) glass and sells for $500.00 by itself. I guess it will make a nice Jack Daniels decanter!

I stop by and look at the Louis Trey at my liquor store all the time. They keep it behind bars. I've heard the bottles are worth something, but I have a hard time believing that price.
I've only had it once, in a restaurant 10 Years ago, at $70/oz. It's dang good, but not 20x the price of a really good bottle of congac.

Too bad you can't fill it with some cheap $hit and sell it on Craigslist! Never know what some redneck might buy even previously opened!
Or better yet, fill it with some rotgut swill...and pass it around during an office party, like a going away office party to see who'll really admit that the expensive stuff tastes like $hit!!!!!!

The problem is......not more that 1 in 100 people even know what it is. Actually, maybe only 5 would even be able to define what cognac is.

Ludicrously expensive swill in my humble opinion.
I just read an interesting study the other day regarding wine - in a taste test 20 independent tasters all stated that the $80 bottle of wine was far superior to the $7 bottle of wine - both bottles contained the $7 wine proving that we are all idiots and that the more expensive a price tag is the better the experience must be - it busted a lot of wine snobs.
